These are photos of a mural painted on Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Placid, Florida.
The mural was painted by Keith Goodson.
This photo shows Martin Luther, still a monk, nailing the ninety-five

Very trusting church; no lock on the door.

& Brother Martin really should look what he is doing with that hammer or he will end up nailing his thumb to the door instead. Not sure why he is using a sledgehammer, either; that is a sure way to end up with a broken thumb. A claw hammer is far better with nails.

Clearly not used to tools.

Not all churches did back then. They were almost always occupied by churchwardens as a lot churches were open overnight to offer shelter to the homeless, and often had someone people living in them.

Nice try but it would still need a lock.

I don't think Luther himself would like that image very much, tbh. The Trinity Lutheran Church offering a trinity of images of Luther. That sails rather too close to Luther worship for my liking; no trace of the actual Trinity anywhere.

I think it is quite nice, especially with the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Since it is outside and not inside the church, especially near the altar, I do not have an issue with it and would not consider it close to Luther Worship. As for a lock....many medieval church doors did not have an obvious lock, although they could be locked from inside. Come to think of it, most of the paintings I have seen of ML nailing the theses depicted the door without a lock and most of the medieval church doors I have seen did not have a "lock" as we think of them.

I don't know why you are so critical. There is a sign on the church that the Reformation is about Jesus, I just didn't do a closeup of it. The Trinity is in the Bible, which is pictured more than once.

When I visited the Yucatan, I saw a church with all the doors wide open throughout the day. Some people came in to pray but other Mexicans simply passed through, apparently using the church as a shortcut, without glancing at anything religious. Attitudes toward doors and locks vary at different times and places.
