  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's funny. Until about third grade, I just loved caterpillars. I'd only seen the smal ones and I liked playing around with them, and especially flipping them over because I thought it looked cute when they'd turn over. When I saw a big caterpillar for the first time, a fifth grader was messing around with it, and when he flipped it over, the way the caterpillar flipped, flopped and carried on effected me somehow. Since then, I can't even look at a caterpillar; fat or tiny. I remember once when I was around 15 years old, I saw one in my garrage, and I refused to be in there without the lights on for a long time. Never mind being barefoot in the dark.

Phobias...
Well, up until last year I had a 3 year lapse of fear of people. The fear was that I could not go into a grocery store, or any store for that matter and stand in a line up. I would freak out. I would literally put all the stuff I wanted to buy on the floor, counter, anywhere and leave. I felt like the world was closing in on me. I would get to the point that I would black out. Pretty freaky:eek:
After dealing with that for a while I went to a psychiatrist and what did he do? Put me on drugs for 2 years.
Day after day I was taking anywhere from 4-10 pills.
I could not take it anymore so I gave it all to God one day. I asked Him to help me with it...so I could be okay, like everyone else.
God healed me of it instantly. Once I relied on Him soley, He could do His work in me.
I am proud to say that I have not taken any medication for just about a year and a half. AMEN!!!
I have no fear in me.
Although some things freak me out like heights or spiders. I have wolf spiders in my house and those suckers are huge. They like to bite me while I am sleeping.
I don't like bees and wasps either. I usually run away from them, or kill em if I have the chance. Their stingers really hurt.

I just try to give all to God. He is big enough to protect me from anything!
