CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I have the most generic fear in the world: SPIDERS! I absolutely, totally, completely hate them. They terrify me. Anything with more than six legs shouldn't be able to live! Just thinking about them gives me the spooks.

This is so stupid...I am TERRIFIED of E.T.....ya know? The movie? *SHUDDER* He's such a creepy little fellow! And that voice! I can't even watch commercials for the movie!!!!

i haven't really come across anything that i'd consider a phobia. maybe fear of being rejected... hmmm... sounds about right.

I also have a horrible fear of spiders my wife kills them if they get in the house!! LOL...I also have a fear of pointy objects needles being one of those, also included in that catergory is anything sharp(knives,people weilding pencils and such). You may laugh at that but I am horrified when someone holds a pencil up like they are going to come at me with it...My wife does that for laughs sometimes!!

i dont really have a fear of anything, i will admit that snakes kinda give me the willies, but only posiness ones. i can handle garden snakes, but heres a phobia for you, i dont have it but i think its funny...not funny as in someone having it, but funny as in its name look at this...this is funny:: Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words and im serious, thats the actual name for that fear. thats shear torture for anyone that has that phobia, but its kinda funny.,

I dislike bugs of any kind espically snakes, spiders and roaches!! I freak out and my husband just laughs. I used to be very scared of wasps but I have overcome that finally. Thank you to whoever invited the fly swatter LOL...

Heights! And in a funny way: I don't have a problem flying in a plane or looking out of the window of a high building - but don't make me climb on a table! 
I also used to have sociophobia when I was younger. That one was pretty bad - asking a question or even making a phone call was a torture. God has healed me of that... No, cured would be a better word.
