Speaking of, does anyone know where I can get an affordable copy of Davis' Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government? No library around here has it, nor any bookstore.

After you're done with that, be sure to get Kennedy & Kennedy's The South Was Right. That's an awesome book for debunking yankee lies.

I'll be sure to. I haven't read it yet, but I was made aware of it when I picked up DiLorenzo's The Real Lincoln (another good one).

Speaking of, does anyone know where I can get an affordable copy of Davis' Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government? No library around here has it, nor any bookstore.

I own the complete work and an abridged version. I could part with the abridged version, but you may want to check with the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library (that is where I got mine) when it is back in service. It took a big hit from Hurricane Katrina.

I can second the recomandations of the Kennedy and DiLorenzo books and add a few more for y'all to check out.

But that doesn't mean that I can't spot the truth when I see it. I saw through the yankee lies in high school. The secession of the Southern states was completely legal and the yankees had no right to engage in a war of aggression against the South.
