Be cautioned that there are some well-meaning scientists here (I question whether well-meaning or not but feel compelled to give the benefit of the doubt), who are dangerous to interact with as the intent of their posts seems bent on dissuading Christians who would otherwise believe in the word of God, to instead fall away into believing these unscriptural views on where you and I came from and the events mentioned in the Bible, namely creation and the flood mentioned in Genesis. To these scientists, they view their wisdom as greater than what God's word has to say.
These few scientists here that reject God's word do so on the basis of naturalistic assumptions and feel their ideas of history are of more authority than the word of God; and so, have turned this forum into a platform by which they can profess and impose their unsupported views (unsupported both scripturally as well as scientifically) of history rather than trusting in God's word.
Don't take my word for it, read what the Bible says and believe that the God who made you and sent Jesus to die for you is not out to "trick" or deceive you in anyway - God is God and the Bible is His word, and His word is true. Do not waver in your faith just because some here have abandoned theirs.
