I thought these were the new ways of looking at taxonomy that were considered to be free of contradiction.

I do remember, one of the predictions of this methodology that ruffled feathers was the prediction that it takes 55 blood lines to sustain a species and not just 45.

That is, 55 separate male and 55 separate female blood lines. That's what I said reading a book about it. When I was a wee lad.

I see the basic problem. I may be looking for a different word. Phiology. The spell checker doesn't recognize it, so I used it to change to a word that looks silly.

Well, suppose you are a breeder of say, destriers. And you don't want them to die out. By blood lines I mean genetically distinct inheritances. DNA testing with saliva matches based on centimorgans. I don't know what they are, but I know if people or animals have shared centimorgans they are related to each other. Which means they should not try to reproduce to have viable offspring. Now, the thing is, humans need to be able to have offspring together, so there needs to be some genetic matching somewhere. But there must be a separate way to test if you are a species, or breed, say, and another to test for centimorgans.
