I believe its called the music man, its a movie, I believe from Disney, something about a con salesman that sells instruments and band uniforms books and everything, then says he will teach the kids to play them, but he doesn't know how.... Anyway, I believe there was an older version of it to. Takes place sometimes probebly in the late 1800's..

The Music Man is indeed a musical play. Looong before it was a musical movie, which originally starred Robert Preston and Shirley Jones with about a 5 year-old Ron Howard.

As far as the POTO movie, who is the star? I heard once upon a time that they were considering Donny Osmond, Antonio Banderas, and even Sebastian Bach. Does anybody know who is the lead?

I read somewhere online that ALW was hands on when it came to the movie. That he wanted the movie to be as close to the stage production as possible. I may be wrong but I believe that ALW may be one of the producers.

I for one am looking forward to the film. I have seen the show twice and would love to see it again on stage. But having it on film will be nice, because whenever I have that Phantom itch, I will be able to pop it in on the DVD player and give myself the scratch that I need.

I think that it will be good for the show as well. There maybe those who will go see it in the theater and then have the desire to see live.

Hopefully those that are starring in the Lead Roles will perform and do the show justice. Thankfully they did not choose Crawford or Antonio Banderas to do the phantom....
