I just finally saw a preview for the movie, and it looks incredible. I like that Andrew Lloyd Webber helped write the screenplay, so they're sure to stick closely to the story. One of the biggest things that's always stuck out to me about PotO as a play was the way that the special effects and story worked very well together, without sacrificing one for the sake of the other. It seems like the movie is the same way.

I've seen the play before two years ago, and I just saw the movie two nights ago with my friend.

We both loved it. You guys have to see this movie, it's so great. :) The music and singing is really good too.

In comparison with the play, I think the movie was better only because in the movie I could actually understand the story plot. In the play, you would find me flipping through the pamplets they give you after every scene trying to figure out what just happened. But that's just me.

Either way, the movie was downright awesome. Two thumbs up from me. :)

Little bit of Trivia from the Movie... or it could just be heresay.... ;)

The person who sang for Emmy Rossum in the movie wasnt invited to the Premiere... oops! :D
Everyone sang for themselves apart from Minnie Driver, and yes, the person who sang for Minnie Driver wasn't invited to the premiere.

Minnie Driver did however do some singing, she did the music played during the credits at the end.

No, he's brand new to POTO as of the movie....according to everything I've read and watched....I'm in a yahoo group for POTO lovers and we get a LOT of video clips and links to reports and reviews about POTO...including the movie...there's been lots on the movie.

I LOVE Phantom Of The Opera! Its my new favorite movie. My friend & I have seen it 5 times in the theatre already, or is it 6? Oh well... I've loved the musical since I was little girl and I've seen it on Broadway too. That's why I was SO happy that it was going to be a movie. I can't wait until I see in on stage again next summer. I wanted to sing all the songs in the theatre but that would be rude. lol I love it SO much!

I love Phantom too! Free Spirited Brunnette -- I found your name really neat, because its like mine :) LOL! Great minds think alike, no? I went to the Playhouse near where I live to see the show, and it was absolutely fantastic. We also recently went to see the movie, and we'll end up going again I'm sure! MY mother and I came out of the theatre laughing and crying and saying, "Let's go see it again right now!" We are both in love with the music, and truthfully, my family's a little sick of hearing me sing it around the house 24/7!
