With the holidays right around the corner, I was wondering if anyone has any special things that they do to include their pets in the family celebrations? If so, what kinds of things do you do with your pet for Thanksgiving & Christmas?

For christmas, we have a small tree for the puppies and we put there presents under it.

What a sweet idea!! I would have never thought of that!

I used to hang stockings for the pets too. But not really anymore.

For Thanksgiving Biddy (the cat) and Jake (the dog) each will get canned food as a treat. And probably for Christmas too. And they get a special toy or gift for Christmas too. I bought Jake a snuggle blanket (website's name is the same as blanket). I am having his name monogramed on it and a boston's face embroidered on the top as well. It is like a sleeping blanket, but open at both ends. Boston's have this habit of wanting to sleep under blankets, so this lady has come up with this idea of snuggle blankets. She makes them all herself. I don't know if I will be able to wait til Christmas to give Jake his blanket.

Well I give the kitties turkey on Thanksgiving. For Christmas, my family always includes them in gift giving.

They always have their own stocking. We usually get them treats and toys.

I've got a little stocking of treats for my hamster. We give him some veg from our roast dinner too at Christmas. He's getting old now so this will likely be his last Christmas

I've got some treats for my parents dog too...and no doubt she'll get a pressie from them as well.

For my rabbit I hang a stocking up with his name on it and fill it up with yogurt chips!!

my budgies get a new toy, which is placed on the christmas tree near the top, as they land on the christmas tree and have kinda claimed that area as theres.
my chinchillas....welll....their giving me babies on christmas day...so their getting a house thing to sleep in, special treats, and stuff, that is gonna be put in a stocking on the end of their cage.

We don't celebrate anything but Jesus on Christmas, but for Thanksgiving the birds get their fill of Tofurkey. Usually I limit people-food for nutritional reasons.
