Haha, I feel really pathetic confessing this, but I've only just discovered Petra recently. I've only listened to Christian music for about two years now and have only been exposed to Christian rock over the past several months. I've know of Petra for at least a month or two, but haven't honestly listened to them until.... well today. :o

Not only did I get one album, I got two in the mail today. I got The Power of Praise and Jekyll & Hyde. I'm now madly in love with Jekyll & Hyde... I think I've listened to the song repeatedly for at least thirty minutes. *smirks*

I feel the same way! Their very first album is one of my all-time favorite albums, along with Never Say Die. I was almost suprised that I liked Jekyll & Hyde, seeing as how I'm not too fond of their post-Greg X. Volz material.

What ever happened to him, anyway? What a voice!

The first album I heard by Petra was "Not of this World", back in the early 1980's. It was the best Christian music I had heard. Since then I've listened to virtually all there albums. "Beyond Belief" was my favorite for quite a while, but I think I like "On Fire!" the most now.

"Rose-Colored Stained Glass Windows" is a great song.
Actually, the album it's off - "More Power to Ya" is probably my favorite of the ones with Greg X. Volz.

I really like "Road to Zion" off that album too.
