Obviously, Evangelical America made it quite clear in 2016, 2020 and 2024 at the ballot box.
Character does not matter in a leader.
Integrety does not matter in a leader
Fidelity does not matter in a leader.
Thats correct. Becauae it seems that all.out leaders to choose from have had poor character and often fidelity issues. Unfortunately we've had to move past that because of the Democratic and Republican leaders we have had to choose from.

Move past what? Expeciting our leaders to have standards of conduct?

No. We were there to root out the Taliban and in getting rid of them, and help the sovereign government of Afghanistan reestablish itself from under that rule. You don't spend years of blood loss in American soldiers along with money and toil,

Yup.and Afghanistan couldn't do it. We tried for 20 years under several presidents and it couldn't get done. There wasn't any more reason to spend more blood and money on something the locals couldn't make happen.

And the fact Biden botched the withdrawal is on him. Not Trump. Biden was president. HE was in charge. It's HIS responsibility. He could have done it any way he wanted. He botched it.

Only voting for people with strong character. Did you vote for Biden? Obama? Neither of them were men of strong character either. I would be more willing to consider a lecture from someone who is so concerned about character that they wouldn't consider voting for someone that was a strong as they demand.

Trump stood down the force level as per the agreement he made with the Taliban. '
When the Afghanistan government collpased (president fled the country), so did the Afghan military. With no security in Kabul, there was no way for US Forces to leave in a "good way."

Trump would have faced the same challenge if he were in power at the time.

I reject your premise.

Compared to Trump, all of our modern Presidents were of higher character than Donald J Trump.

*None of them* woud have nominiated Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.

The police reports exonerated Hegseth. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are still under the authority of the SecDef. Real people from the nonprofit organizations Hegseth ran have all spoke out in support of him.

Anonymous sources have accused Hegseth of being drunk and/or having a hangover while during work hours. Does his book corroborate that? If so, then his opponents in the media should have put forth those pages and paragraphs.

And no one in their right mind ever will. She

Do you respect his beliefs on the subject of abortion? Or are his beliefs only important when they line up with the left?
I think he called it like hiring a hit man…

Biden could've raised it again. He could have sent in more security, he could have done a lot of different things. He was president. The Taliban was not a country or a government. Biden could have renegged on the agreement. But instead he failed to do what needed to be done to make it work. Hr botched and failed. It's in him. He was president. He made the plan.

So your argument really isn't that Trump.had poor character. You argument is of men of poor character he is the worst of the bunch?

He could have sent back American military forces....and then what? Ask the Taliban to let tens of thousands of Afghans leave peacefully with our troops?

Yep could've, but he didnt. He failed. That's what matters. His decisions or lack thereof resulted in a failure.

No one is arguing against withdrawal. I sure am not. What I am arguing is you don't negotiate withdrawal with the enemies of the country you're trying to prop up, including releasing prisoners, and not negotiate with the existing sovereign nation. That was Trump, not Biden.
