  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No kid should be left out when attending a church dicipleship class. After the class aparantly the kids visit but do not include everyone leaveing others out to feel ackward. The adults just sit and visit aparantly not even paying attention to what goes on after the lesson. These people even offered thier homes for this event but it seems to be geard toward thier kids needs! Makes me wonder why they offer this course? Teach the Word then how "not" to apply it or that it applies only to those who fit in. Why not simply visit together privately without offering the course? It all seems pointless. Aggravated. I did gently try to talk wih the leaders of the study but I'm sure they ignore me at the very least.

^ oh, that IS frustrating that they are allowed to ignore other kids, dizzydoll.

Peeve: When people exaggerate as a matter of habit so that they sound more convincing. Well, it's sad, in a way. I was having lunch after church service with one lady who talked about how this certain type of business is "a humongous success all over the world and people are making TONS of money doing it!" Then she cited *one* company she knew of. That was her whole basis of information. One company.

I hate when people exagerate UNLESS it is part of a joke and only then if it is funny.

When Friend A has a habit of inviting you out, and you're looking forward to spending time one-on-one with her, but then she always invites Friend B as well.

We, her friends, have already talked with her about honoring an invitation and not putting others in the awkward position of having to say, "No."

To be honest, the next time that happens, I'm going to spend all my time talking with Friend B. :p

APP: when people ask if my 5 & 4 yr olds are twins...I know they look alike but come on! It was cute when they were 1 & 2, even 2 & 3, but i'm over it already!
Think that's bad? My daughters are 4 years apart, and people say that to and about them all the time. My oldest daughter is 13...and she does not appreciate that people think she's the same age as her 9 year old sister.

APP: when people say that my sister looks like my mother, and that I don't. My mother and I have the same face, the same voice, the same type of skin, the same eye color, the same hair color, the same feelings about things... etc., etc., etc. My sister has her height.

Peoples perceptions have little to do with what is, but how they choose to see things.
