CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Neither do they - LOL!
OK I've got a new one today. I'm shopping for w/w carpet and pad ONLY and went to a town about 25 miles away with discounters, etc. Measurements are 18 x 25 and some yoyo tells me that a 12x36 piece can be cut to fit. Well, Einstein, 12 + 12 = 24 not 25.
and he tells me that it will fit that their chart was done by experts (and he wanted to add "not women") and I finally left just before I called him a stoooopid nincompoop to his face. Pet peeve - not listening to me because they think I'm a little old gray-haired lady. Then telling a 2 year math major that 2 strips of 12x18 will cover an area 18x25. No can do, Bozo!

But I wished that people asked me what is my nationality instead of where I am from.

JPPT I know people of other nationalities and this is a common problem in differences of languages & understandings (in people's cultures).
