  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lisa & xxx,

Most towel bars in the market come with two lengths: 18” & 24” (ours included). However, we have a potential new product coming out at WalMart for later next year that telescopes 18 – 32” which will allow stud-mounting. I hope it helps.

LOL, well, I have already told you how important Sharpies are to me LOL, and with three daughters, Goody hair products are a must. Of course, I love Rubbermaid, and I could only wish to afford the Calphalon :(

Try the Simply Calphalon. It is much cheaper and in my opinion cooks the best. Although, I admit that I do have one stainless steel skillet that is absolutely divine!

I have a very big one here:

This has actually been weighing on me for quite some time. I need to lose weight. I know it, and my doctor knows it. But every time I go to the doctor for a problem, he says if I lose weight, I will feel better. Fine, and I am working on that, but it doesn't happen overnight. Now, I have gone in for the same problem over and over, and they don't even bother with an exam, just the same lecture on weight, and lo and behold, I had to go to the ER on Sunday morning. Now everyone is rushing around and trying to make an appointment for a surgical consult, and one of the clinic workers had the nerve to ask me yesterday why I waited so long to deal with it. I have been trying to deal with this for a year now. Now I may need surgery, and I feel that if someone had listened to me, it wouldn't have gotten this far.

So, in short, my peeve is why don't doctors ever really listen to you?

Some, not all, doctors are very arrogant. I had a similar experience when my husband was hurt last year. My DH's leg was swollen and red and it had the red streaks going out. I told the doctors, "That looks like infection to me". They barely glanced at it and told me it was not infected. Well, he ended up nearly losing his leg and worse, it was not just any old infection. It was MRSA!

Oh wow....I'm glad he made it ok through that infection. That infection is wreaking havoc on our schools here in the states right now.

When my husband had an appendectomy, they had complications. He got a high fever, and he was delirious, and I called the clinic and asked if he should come back in. They were so nonchalant about it, and they were vague as to whether to bring him in. Now my dh is 6'2 and 200, and I am only 5'5" so trying to get him back there was tough, but I got him there. He had such a bad infection, they had to reopen him to drain. (ewww, I know, but sorry).

He kept having problems, and we kept insisting something wasn't right. Mind you, he is active duty, and they kept deploying him, even though he kept getting sick. Two years ago, in Japan, he had to be Medivac'd because he got so sick, and they did some MRIs. Turns out, he still had a clamp inside of him.

 They left a clamp inside of him? Did you sue?

They lost my hubby once, and threatened to have me thrown out of the hospital if I did not settle down. Duh! They just did surgery on my husband and they could not find him. I was a bit upset, but they were going to throw me out.

We can't sue. He's military, he gives up his right to sue the doctors. :sigh:

Yeah, I was like yelling at them and they said, "M'aam, we are not going to let you stay in this hospital and upset your husband like that." I was like, "I am not upset with my husband. I am UPSET AT YOU!" I might have called her stupid. I told you I block confrontations out...:sorry:
