  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

1) people saying "um" all the time.
2) people chewing with their mouth open.
3) people not capitalizing God or Jesus
4) hypocrites
5) when people acuse you of being wrong but will not show you evidence, they want you to find it
6) people who complain of you telling them to do something after you already asked the first time and they didn't listen

Oh, sorry, Coastie I have lots of respect for you. I knew a pastor who was extemely conceited who said this all the time. It left a bad impression on me.

i do that a lot cuz there were many occasions when i was honest about my emotions, and people acted like it was my fault, or they acted as if i was overreacting.  OR, they acted like i was a horrible christian for having a bad day...so now i refuse to be too open to people.

my pet peeves...

people who smoke right in front of me.  people who make fun of people they don't even know.  especially if that other person is nice.  mmm...and others.  i just can't think of them now.  people that take advantage of others.

I agree it is terrible when people judge the book by its color. So many people are really nice but nobody gives them anytime.

Ewwww! Yucky-Icky! I call that sucking snot. Sort of like the loud "Grrrrruunnnk!" they make when drawing the plehm out of their sinuses and then that hack it all into their mouths Then they propell the spiralling mass out of their mouths, and it stick to a tree or something.

Here are some of mine...

People who tailgate in traffic.

Loud barking dogs that never shut up! ARF! ARF! ARF! non-stop! Epecially at 4:30am.

People that want the Crocodile Hunter to get bitten or eaten.

The "Landover Baptist Church" website.
