• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hello Hopetoday,

That comment was from a person of ignorance. Think about it like this. This is a person who is making fun of or mocking something he totally doesn't understand. Much like kids mocking a child who is gifted.

If anything, I would encourage you to forgive him (based off the fact he is ignorant) and to put him into your prayers for salvation.

You might ask 'why should I forgive or even pray for this guy?'. Remember that Jesus, not only prayed for us, but also gave his life for us. Even though we hated and sinned against him at one time.

Romans 5:8
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Actually Jesus says you are blessed when you are being persecuted while doing what is right. It was a sign that you were doing something right.

Luke 6:22-23
"22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.

23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.
