  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

why do Christians allow themselves to be persecuted?:confused:
---
friend,

while persecution may not enjoyable, yet, by The grace of GOD & in HIS great strength alone, we persevere and rejoice and glory in the LORD GOD at all times, The Lord JESUS CHRIST says...

"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." - 2 Timothy 3:12

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33

"And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." - Mark 8:34

"And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." - Matthew 10:38

We joy in and seek constantly, in the word of GOD and in prayer ("watch and pray"), the help of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, "The Way, The Truth & The Life", who has promised/declared... "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." - Hebrews 13:5

Hebrews 12:2-4
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin."
=====
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

(May 21, 2011 - judgment day begins on this world) - remember,

"The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy." - Psalm 145:8

henrik,

HisServant21 gave you a perfect answer. Suffering persecution is just what happens when one follows Christ. Treating those who persecute us with unconditional love is what draws them, hopefully, closer to accepting salvation.

The more involved we get in serving Christ, the more likely to suffer persecution.

I have learned to not take it too personally; it's an opportunity to show those that may hate me, what Christ is truly like - He loves them enough to die for them.
