Persecution at School...

All you guys are doing a GREAT thing by putting Jesus back in the schools! Just think how many people you might be saving by doing so. I wish I had been involved in something like that when I was in school. GOD Bless you!!!!

I thought I would bring this up for teens, but what does everyone here do to battle persecution at school?

I help enlarge a prayer group EVERY morning, we hold hands and we pray out loud in the middle of the hall, in a part of the school where almost everyone hangs out.

Let me know what everyone else does, let's give this new forum some heart God bless!

Wow, that's pretty gutsy. There's a severe lack of Christians at my school. So I just talk to my church friends when I'm really upset and need to get confidence from someone. Otherwise I pray about it.

Y'all are awsome!!!! As blessed as I was to go to a Christian High School, I see that your faith is being tested in ways mine never was. I praise God that you're standing up for Him and rest assured you will be rewarded for you stance. I hope that one day the govt. will realize that we are not trying to do any harm by praying and living our faith. It makes me sick when I hear people say that teaching creationism is offensive. Well guess what... evolution is offensive to me and a growing portion of the scientific community. It is sad that the only people who it's okay to offend are the Christians, talk about intolerance and exclusion! Sheesh! I won't go on but I do want to thank you all again and encourage you to stand strong in Christ Jesus.

I'm a member of the Christian prayer group called Every Day Friday. We meet every Friday morning, talk about problems we are having, read scriptures from the Bible and talk about them, listen to Christian music, and pray. It's a small group, but it's still great. The people are wonderful. I like it a lot.

When it comes to persecution, I've had a kid who after he found out that I was a Christian went out of his way to bash me and my faith. Other kids have made bad comments too, but he was most aggressive. It was really bad. I told him I'd pray for him, and after a lot of reticule and name calling, he's starting to come back to the Christian faith.

I owe it all to God. He is really awesome.

Ha, that's awesome. I should totally do that next time I get bullied for my faith; tell them bulliers I'll pray for them. I mean, we're always told we should ignore people who bully us at school and yeah that is a pretty good tactic, but here's an even better one! Even if it annoys them at first, it eventually shows them the love Christians have! Brilliant!

Well folks I've been in your shoes both as a student and future educator. I've been bullied but never give hope you individuals are going to something big for the kingdom just remember to be wise as doves and gentle as serpents. I feel like you individuals on this thread have given me encouragement and I hope to do the same for you. I did FCA and prayed in front of the school please read your bible in school and pray but always be kind even in the face of persecution simpletrust thats a good decision for if you are bullied that is music to my ears
