  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When anyone is persecuted for sinning, they have nothing to say about it.

This passage defines sin:
17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them.

So people do control what is sin and what is not.
You may think I'm cheating on my wife and sinning.
But I decide what is right and what is not.

All of your posts now reveal what is in you, as you admitted years ago.
The sin had so defiled you that your mind cannot comprehend the simplest truth - sin is sin.
Your posts today in this and other thread(s) try to defend sin that God's Word condemns, and to make actions/lives that God calls abominations as if they were accepted.
You have not accepted God's Word nor His Correction according to your posts for years, and refuse to turn to Him to repent and to be forgiven

Oh, I was forgiven my sins decades ago on 1003 w. Atkinson Street.
You need to get out more. How long have you been in the house today?

Well...no. The Bible says local government takes priority over scripture so I am holding to scripture first and forum posters second.

2 Corinthians 3:6
Who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrews 7:22
This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.

Therefore one must be in subjection to local government, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

Romans 13:1-7
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

1 Peter 2:13-17
Titus 3:1
1 Timothy 2:1-3
Psalm 22:28
Daniel 2:20-21
Deuteronomy 16:18-20
Proverbs 21:1
Luke 20:25
John 19:11
Mark 3:24
Proverbs 8:15

Do not obey God's law, follow the governments law instead now.
You’re wicked.

1 John 2:3-4 “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

Someone may want to be forgiven, and many people are told they are forgiven, but without repentance, there is no forgiveness. Without stopping the sin, there may be no more any sacrifice for the sin, thus no atonement for the sin, no forgiveness left after some point God Knows as His Word (which was posted earlier) says.
The deception of sin is supposed to be dealt with each day, so it does not build up and cause many to stumble. This is not often practiced (dealing with sin every day), but is detailed in Scripture to be done .
The results of not dealing with sin is seen today all over the world, the usa, and the forums. Unrepentant people are more common than those who repented and were forgiven. Thus sin is more common, as written: the wiccked continue getting more wicked, while the (few) righteous continue getting more righteous (repenting and being forgiven of sin instead of sinning greater than before) .

Jesus also said that instead of blood, He was all wine instead.

2 Corinthians 3:6

not of the letter but of the Spirit.
For the letter kills,
but the Spirit gives life.

The law you cling to kills.

Is obsolete,
has been replaced
is faded away.

G-Bye ol covenant.

Do not obey God's law, follow the governments law instead now.
What Does the Bible Say About Government And New Covenant?

Sorry, but you are out of the reality, more than me that i take medicine for things that happens to me sometimes, merry christmas.

Goverments can do very wicked things and promote them, we should follow? of course not.

I was persecuted for my beliefs in Jesus
Christ in Texas. I had a fifteen year old daughter who was living with her dad. He introduced her to a lesbian couple whom had money. My daughter saw what they had and wanted it. She called a woman at cps, who immediately believed the lies she told and called.me and said I needed to come in. I thought my daughter was going to live with me. When I met the cps worker she told me I had no rights to what my dsughter wanted to live. I signed a paper stating what she had said. The attorney I had told me I didn't have to write all of that down. Anyway, I was going to sign primary custody over to them. I went home and my television was.on, the first thing I heard was John Hagees voice preaching..." Homosexuality is an abomination to God!"
I knew God was talking to me. Later a minister said he didn't put his signature on a marriage certificate with out counseling the couple, because his signature went with that couple thru life. I knew then God did not want me to put my signature on the primary custody papers.

When I told the cps worker I could not sign papers all hell broke out. They immediately changed judges. The first judge was.in favor of me, so one of the lesbian woman's sister was a district attorney, I believe she.used her connections to move the case before another judge.
I had meetings with my daughter, where she would mirror me and falsely acclaimed I hit her with an extension cord. She never put that on the affadavit, so I knew they coached her to lie.
I wrote washington, I kept calling them, finally a lady called me and said she had pulled my case from 700 others, because of my constantly calling. She told me I in fact had a case, and what they where doing was.unethical. however Washington was out of the jurisdiction, so they would have to send the information back to TX.
Well, the lesbian's ended up getting my daughter and making her father pay child support. I relinquished her rights to me as her.mother.
After she went with them, my car was broken into. I received warrants for my arrest when i had never had tickets. She bragged about placing cameras in my house. There is do much more to this story.
Let's put it this way, there was gang stalking. And when Jesus said they will score you in the synagogues and deliver you to the council it's true. There is nothing more violent than being abused by the system that is suppose to protect the citizens of America. All in the.name of the lgbtq. Today the female I gave birth to is
On the committee for the aging lgbtq.
Blind leading the blind to hell.
Please pray for me because so much has happened to me and my three children because of thier harrasment.
I never thought authority could be so evil and cruel, but I've learned a terrible lesson.
Please pray for me and my three children. I want to forgive the female I gave birth to, but its hard. I want God to vendicate me against her and the government whom harrased me and my little ones.

I have had similar experiences with the corrupt justice system in America. Money runs this country more than God and it is very sad. That isn't "persecution", though. That is trials and tribulation. There is nothing you mentioned that Jesus didn't warn about--including people in your own house turning on you. How you share it sounds like you are bitter about it. You can't even cry out to God for your daughter, because you don't call her your daughter any more.

The challenge for you is to forgive everyone--especially your own daughter--so you don't become bitter, because bitterness affect your testimony in so many ways (how it sounds, how you respond to people groups, how you respond to life going forward), it affects your usefulness to God, it will affect your other children, and it will affect your future. You can't undo what has happened. And, we are promised that unjust things will happen to us in this world, if we are truly His. But, you can make sure you aren't the cause of what happens to you going forward, unless it is truly persecution for preaching Jesus Christ which will produce fruit and bless God.

You seem to be fighting against God on multiple fronts:

Romans 13:1-7
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

So your story shows you rebelling against government especially regarding sexual orientation.

Oh, and TV time costs $1000's of dollars per minute. You can only spend those precious minutes on the best paying content. Not actually helping God. Pastor John Hagee is the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church and has a net worth of $5 million dollars. It's not that a rich man can't enter heaven, but "it's a tight squeeze for them", said Jesus.
you are unsympathetic and when government is evil the people cry out for justice against it. This woman has been targeted and in a very real spiritual battle. Taking the governments side on this is like using this verse to support being executed for being Christian is like our duty to be subject to the authority.
We should be praying for this woman her family and her situation. If your life took such a turn and you found your life being ruined by unjust authority I do not think playing the Romans 13 card is what is needed. Lets hope you never have to find out from personal experience what this woman is going through.

You’re wicked.

1 John 2:3-4 “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
I realize that I say things people don't want to think about. Have you considered these passages lately?

Matthew 7:1-5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

John 7:24
Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

James 4:11-12
Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Romans 2:1-3
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Romans 14:1-13
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ...

John 8:7
And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Titus 3:2-7
To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ...

James 1:26
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

Proverbs 31:9
Open your mouth, judge righteously by defending the rights of the poor and needy.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Luke 6:37-42
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” He also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? ...

Romans 12:16-19
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Galatians 5:14
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

John 3:17
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Galatians 6:1
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

1 Corinthians 13:1-8
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; ...

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

Romans 14:1
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.

Romans 2:3
Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?

1 Peter 4:8-9
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

Isaiah 11:3
And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

I'm baffled by your comment. Children just hate rules. My wife signed papers to give guardianship away at an even younger age when her daughter gave birth. There were a number of years where they didn't speak to each other but her daughter is now her firm closest friend. When our daughter's own children started rebelling, she returned back to mom for friendship.

And gay couples outnumber straight couples in adopting. There is no evidence that the children suffer from this. The courts keep the welfare of the child as the top priority, by law.

I am encouraging her to pray and submit to government authority. At your request, no more Romans.

1 Peter 2:13-17
Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Titus 3:1
Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

1 Timothy 2:1-3
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

Psalm 22:28
For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.

Proverbs 21:1
The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.

John 19:11
Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above.

Proverbs 8:15
By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just;

There is never a bad reason for prayer. It fixes your head. Prayer stomps on your ego and forces you to put God's agenda in front of yours, and that's always the right move.

Let's take your imagined stand and lets say that government is evil. We mention that in court while defending our point. The 14 yo picks up on this. So....starting at age 14 the child assumes that government is evil and that it's rules are unjust. Guess what life this teen leads going forward assuming that government and rules are evil and unjust?

Brian 1:5 Thou shalt deny any unjust government, fight rules we don't like, and condemn the lifestyle of any discovered lesbians.

Do you imagine this girl in a pink dress on sitting in a pew on Sunday? I think not.

So between you and me, which of us has the girls future in mind?

I did look for passages about wicked rulers, but they all say to follow the law anyway.
Take the crucifixion as a working example.

Did Rahab the prostitute obey the law of the land?

Only God can judge.

Didn't God do the judging and answer this question already, via the Holy Spirit and scripture?

Not until death, and then the judgment
Look at my original question, which you didnt actually answer with a logical answer, now tell me what judging has to do with my original question. It has nothing to do with my question about Rahab the prostitute. Nothing,. You just dodged the question.

I don't know the story. I don't recall the laws of that day she lived under. I don't know if the local laws applied to her. I avoided answering your question. I am ignorant of even her name. Prostitution is legal in some cities. What do I know of ancient law and government?

Ok, fair enough. If Christianity was outlawed in my country, am i obligated to follow that law?

Whatever the law says. The crucifiction of Jesus is a good example God provided for you.

Why is Jesus example for us? We should follow the law of the land, remember? You said Gods law was replaced by the law of the land, not with Jesus example.
