If I gave you reason to believe that that is what I was saying let me say first of all that I didn't mean to say or imply that Perry Stone is lacking on Judaic insight, not just on the tabernacle but in other theologies as well. So now I really don't know how to answer your question because I don't believe that's what I said. Whjere do you see me saying this?muffler dragon said:If Mr. Stone (who I have never even heard of) is lacking on Judaic insight regarding the Tabernacle, then how does it matter what he comes up with by incorporating the New Testament and Jesus?
I agree and I don't believe that is what I was saying about Perry Stone.I am not being cynical or sarcastic. I am sincerely asking, because unless you have a complete and contextual picture of something in Scripture; how can you come up with any conclusions that make sense?
Talk about context, If you followed the context of what I have said in this thread and the emotion I have shown while saying it you would know that the problem I have had isn't about the tabernacle or anything else that Perry Stone teaches but has everything to do with certain peoples attitudes towards tv evangelists and how they contort what they say and do to make them fit their mold mold of what it is to be a false prophet. Thats what arouses emotion in me.I do broach this topic with caution, because I see that it arouses emotion in you. So, please understand that I am coming to you with arms raised and palms showing.
LOL, you have to admit though, that was cute...newlamb said:Chicken!![]()
Neph said:Mr Stone does glean most of his insight on this from Jewish tradition in what the materials used to build the tabernacle was supposed to represent.
In the Bible, the Torah, not all the materials used are explained. Perry Stone has traveled to Israel like 25 times in both tour groups and for further study. He has been taught by Jewish religious leaders on why these materials were used, what was behind the traditions of the priesthood and so on and so forth.muffler dragon said:I probably read too much into it, but my question comes from this: if he doesn't glean most of his insight from a Jewish tradition; then what does he glean it from?
That's alright, what are message boards for if not for misunderstandings?Sorry for the ambiguity and misunderstanding on my part.
LOL, if you need a 10' pole I believe Asaph left one behind as he left the thread!muffler dragon said:Holy Cow!!! I just figured out what has been wrong. For some reason, I kept reading that Perry does NOT glean from Jewish tradition. Boy do I feel sheepish. I obviously need to go to bed.
Your first paragraph made me go back and read, and I've been incorrect from the jump. Goodness me.
I am very aware of Halacha and Oral Torah. I know exactly what you are talking about. I am going to go ahead and exit stage right with my tail all the way up and between my legs.
Whoo-eee!
