A simple "yes" or "no" would help me understand what you are saying. Either I've greatly misunderstood an otherwise viable idea you are trying to present, or perhaps your idea isn't really viable and my attempts to understand it are futile.Have a nice day, sir.
Prior to this the earth was just a ball of water floating in space, although there was no core to make it a ball so what was it? magic from start to finish?
How many Americans believe this?
I take it you believe the land was created ex nihilo?
I believe it was created ex materia.
Either way, it showed up.
Then why are we having this conversation?Ex nihilo, ex materia, the point is the land was already there "under the sky". And when the waters were gathered into seas, the land appeared.

I believe God created one of the three heavens, and the earth. So what do you consider occurred on day 1?
I believe God created one of the three heavens, and the earth.
And He created the earth as a pool of water in the hollow of His hand.
Thus it was "without form and void."
Yup.Not sure if we're on the same page.
Gen 1:3-5
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

It was formless in the beginning so it's not a ball, probably just water vapor and dust and debris in space, just like in scientific models.
So what happens to water in sub-freezing temperatures of space? it boils then freezes.
Inside of sea water are the ingredients to make a lot of things.
Even gold exists in the ocean.
When God spoke, the elements came together and formed land.
Then the oceans parted and the landmass came out.
Well, it ain't an opinion.
Gen 1:9 "And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.”And God saw that it was good."
The dry wasnt called "ground", it was called "Dry", and it was brought into "being" when God called the waters under the heavens to gather together in one place. The waters were called "seas", then, because there was one gobe of water, but different "seas/rivers/currents" in it].
It was important God spoke to only the waters under the heavens to gather together in one place, because the waters above the heavens are not gathered in one place, and are part of the system running the electric universe that God has made, which circle the earth daily, above the circle of the earth [heavens] as they have from the beginning of creation.
The "Dry" was then named "Earth".
There was no "earth" before the "Dry" was called together as one land mass, out of the waters, and named "Earth".
The "Dry" was brought forth as "dry", also, not "mud", and did not need "drying out time", but was immediately ready to bring for the vegetation all over itself, out of itself, just as the waters brought forth the fowl and sea creatures out of themselves.
There wasn't even any "light" until day 1, .
I know but water vapor still exists in space, in abundance. They come from the center of the galaxy and of course, Ice in space when exposed to sunlight at close enough distance, it will sublime directly to water vapor. And things in space don't just stay in one place.
Also, galactic centers don't spew water in frozen form but always in gaseious (water vapor) form due to the highly energetic (hot) centers of galaxies.
Also the tail and halo of comets contain huge amounts of water vapor.
Water vapor is quite abundant in space and also ice like in comets.
So I'm not sure what you're trying to prove and why you seem to disagree.
