  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

um, ok... prefect in the sense of not sinning.
I think it it possible for people born as extremely low level imbeciles to avoid sinning since they have no higher brain functions to permit a knowledge of right and wrong; since they are not accountable for their thoughts and actions, God does not judge them as He judges others.

Buzz Dixon you are quite correct there i would say.... Now why clem do you think you don't believe in sin. You mean in your own life, or in all lives? Looking around i see THERE IS SIN! Ie murders, lying, sexual experiences, etc. I've found that more than often a good way to define the act of sin is an act that causes fractions amoungst people or inside someone, or thoughts that if played out it would.

You call it sin, sure. I call it antisocial. Sin is something that pertains only to a deity, and I don't believe in deities. So I don't believe in sin.

Do you believe in evil?
Not as a thing that infects people, no. Not as a condition, no. As a result, maybe. Even then it's hyperbole, but hyperbole roXXorzz. I understand what people mean when they say something is evil, but I don't think they are being accurate.

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

I don't believe as humans we will ever be perfect. But we need to perfect our holiness. As a Christian, I sin constantly and am continually asking for God's forgivenss. My Christian life is a constant refining process. My desire is to be perfect in Christ, not the world because it will just never happen. When we come to faith in Christ, we start our refining process, just like gold goes through a refining process. My life can get really hot at times and that's when I'm being tested in my faith. How do I come through that trial? Those are the moments that refine us for God's kingdom.

When we get to heaven, we become automatically perfect. Do I fully understand this? No. I've heard that if you have not walked the walk with Christ in your worldly life, then there will be a purification process in heaven but I don't know what I think about that because everything in heaven is perfect.

All I know is that I will continue to strive to be perfect in Christ. I can't be God and I can't be a perfect human but I can go through the refining and purification to have a perfect holiness.

Nobody but Christ is perfect. We can be more like Him in our remaining lives but not to the point of perfection, because we screwed up along the way before being saved. Christ was perfect the day He was born, He never sinned. We need to do our best to just work on doing God's bidding and follow His commandemnts at all times.
