I prefer women whom don't have ANY piercings, whom don't have tans, whom are tall, whom are not outgoing.
 that's me! I have absolutely no piercings...not even my ears, but I may get them pierced this friday as a graduation present...I have no tan, I'm tall, and I'm also kinda shy. :holy:

I do have peculiar things that attract me to a man. But i often question things. Is it wrong to like someone because they have this hair or that skin? Like there are obviously things that put people off like really bad body odour or seriously excess hair (or it might cause someone to be more attracted if they are into that). Cos there are great people in my life, guys & gals, and i feel bad for being attracted to dark guys. What is it? Why?

I don't have this rigid set of profile criteria. I just like it when i can connect with someone and have stimulating conversations, and also laugh at dumb things. And a Godly character is always important, God must be the first love in his life. Honesty, especially with motives and money issues is very important to me.

But i'm this 22 year old girl in Australia, and i have a thing for dark southern guys. Maybe it's the accent? I tend to go for older guys too, maybe it's a maturity thing. But if God brought a man into my life, i would hate to think i would rule him out if he doesn't match this peculiarity.

Is it worldly to have physical requirements or is it sinful to be attracted to someone that says nothing about who they are inside?

heh, don't be.

No it's not sinful or wordly to have physical requirements as to what you are attracted to. I think Christian circles are in danger of preaching a looks don't matter doctrine. It would be bad tho if this were the only requirement you had in a mate (which I would like to beleive no one here that talks about physical traits is inclined to do).

I dont think it's sinful to be attracted to a certain type of person, but make sure you dont rule out others who lack the particular traits you like, because they may be golden at heart.

As for me, I like girls who enjoy outdoor activities, sporty and a tan is definitely awesome.

I was thinking US. Kiwis & pacific islanders are cute too. I think hair extensions and really fuzzy tight curly hair is groovi.

I've dated guys from really different cultural backgrounds before. Hungarian, afro-Brazilian, Malaysian, Greek/Maltese... i guess i don't actively avoid anyone based on what their background is or isn't. But US southern boys are cute *blush*

I often notice that people who are married look similar is some subtle way. When I am attracted to a guy (for whatever reason), I start to look for physical similarities between us because of my observation of married people. If a guy has -say- a round/oval face, a nose similar to mine, is not too skinny, has somewhat chubby cheeks,etc... *haha* then I get more attracted to him. Earlier I posted that I have no peculiar attactions, but I do think it is peculiar  that my mind goes in this direction once the "initial" attraction is there. I think my mind is funny sometimes. :p

wow! that is really nice to hear, and means a whole lot coming from so far away! Im not taking this as a personal compliment at all, its just that the rest of the US in general cant stand /make fun of our southern heritage. its actually become politically in-correct to a large extent. I am a southern man alot has changed here. we have population explosion/migration here to thank for that. (I would like to move to NZ or Austrailia belive it or not) ya gotta go way far south to find real hospitality in US these days. (some exceptions) Im sure we have some down here that are a litlle too "southern" for your tastes to. but mabey not? there are actually several different southern dialecs but I think only southerners notice the differences.

That is great to hear! thank You so much!

hey krsg, Ive noticed a similiar thing (thang ;-) with people and their choice of dogs HA Haha! seriously though... its kinda strange. anyone else notice this?

Krstg,

You're not the only one! I do the same thing. I find myself analyzing every aspect of people's faces (their mates, friends, etc.)...it might be because I studied anatomy/anthropology and had to look for details

Yeah, I guess you're right...LOL

I got carried carried away with the description:blush:. I guess I know what really catches my eye. That type is usually attracted to me too.

Are you serious? That's so sad. The south is the reason i want to go to the US. I love jazz and blues and specially gospel. And i love the accent, it's probably my favourite accent.

Correct me if i'm wrong, i don't wanna sound ignorant cos i've never been there and i probably rely too much on TV, but feel that the culture there is warm and inclusive and people like to laugh alot.

In my mind, i guess I identify similarities between my culture and my perceptions of other cultures. Things that i like about my own culture and things i'm familiar with.

I'm thinking about studying there at a Bible college or seminary or something. It's something that's really on my heart, but i know it will become clearer in God's time if i'm to go or not.

In a "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" kind of way? Is it a city country thing? Or are people hostile towards southerners?

just my observations in our modern society here, I dont want to get off topic or be a spark. PM?

back ON topic, somone mentioned body peircings. I agree, didnt think about it at the time I posted (no peircings/tattoos) too bad they are so common now. I dont even consider one who has them (other than minimal earings) I dont care for tattos either. on women its just gross! but they are not so eaily removable as body peircings so in that respect they are a mistake in ones past I guess so I may could overlook a tattoo, I cant say that for sure though.

what Ive writtin here is just opinions folks please realise we are all different and I dont mean to be insulting.
