How do you have peace with God?
Where is it found?
Well, the answer is simple, but the application can be hindered and even blocked by you. By the way you think....
See, the way you think defines what you believe, and why.
If this is wrong... if your thinking is wrong, then your faith is harmed, and your theology is deceived, which finds you and leaves you in the dark., spiritually.
Right believing is Spiritual LIGHT
Wrong believing is spiritual Darkness.
Jesus said to make sure that the light that is in you, is not dark.
Wrong believing, is the DARK.
It is a fact that a person can be born again, on their way to heaven, and not even understand why.
Many are like this. Many are blood bought, yet lost in the high weeds somewhere, theologically.
The born again themselves can find that they have no peace, they have no joy.
When this happens, it can lead you falsely to believe that your salvation is in jeopardy, or you might even feel that you could lose your salvation....all based on the fact that you dont feel any joy in the Lord, or any Peace with God.
Saint, one of the first steps out of the Christian diaper stage and into the reality of what it means to understand who you are in Christ, is to recognize that what you feel has no bearing on your Salvation.
Understand that Salvation is not based on your feelings, or your opinion.
The fact is, Salvation is not even based on YOU.
Salvation is based only and wholly on What God did for you on the Cross, by the shedding of His Blood, His death, and His resurrection.
So, unless you died on the Cross and rose again, you are not able to save yourself, or keep yourself saved.
Some of you need to see that very clearly, as some of you have been taught that "working out your salvation" means, that God started it, and its up to you to do the rest.
So, that LIE, is very commonly expounded from the Pulpit and from the deceived.
Imagine the gigantic arrogance, the ultimate self righteousness that controls a person who thinks that the Blood of God is not quite enough and you are the final part of your own salvation.
Dont be that deceived person, and don't listen to anyone who would try to convince you to rip Jesus off the Nails in a self righteous effort to put yourself up there as your own Savior.
Are you up there?
If you think and believe that you can lose your salvation then you are absolutely on the Cross and Jesus is absolutely not being Trusted to get you into heaven.
See, you either have Faith in you, or Faith in Jesus, to get you into heaven.
It can't be both.
There is only one Savior, and it is NOT your self effort or your water baptism.
Peace with God comes within the understanding that your relationship with God, is started by God, resolved by God, and ALWAYS Kept by God.
Peace is found in right believing.
Joy is found in right believing.
Confusion is found in wrong believing.
Salvation, or Eternal Life, is a very interesting situation.
Which is.......that a person begins their Salvation by being completed as "the righteousness of God, in Christ".
In other words, you start finished, and then you learn to live out this reality.
The born again start at the finish line, and then get on the Track and learn how to live in the Righteousness that God has given to you as "the Gift of Righteousness".
See, when God saved you, He did so by making you as Righteous as He is, immediately, and always.
God gave you, (if you are born again) "the Gift of Righteousness". "The Gift of Salvation" and "Eternal Life".
That Gift, (all of those) is God's very Holiness given to you because Jesus became your sin, and died as your sin bearer.
Paul teaches that "as many as Received Jesus..GOD GAVE YOU the Power to BECOME A Son of God".
This " Power" is the redeeming of YOU back into the very Spirit of God.
This Power is the ETERNAL EFFECT of the Blood Atonement.
Being Born again,= is to be BIRTHED Spiritually INTO GOD's very own Spirit.
Being Born again is to be birthed eternally as "ONE" with God and Christ.
This is what has happened to you, the instant you received Christ by Faith, which is to repent of the idea that you could save yourself.
So, once you turned to God, repenting from your self effort to try to be accepted by God, which is True Repentance, then God accepted your Faith and justified you (born again) and sanctified you to be as Righteous as His very own Righteousness.
Why are you as righteous as God Himself? Because God made you so when you were born again.
Being Born again is PROOF that you have Eternal life and have "the gift of Righteousness".
And this Righteousness, this Gift that God has given all the Born again....is your eternal PEACE with God.
Its only found there.
It's what creates it, and its what sustains it, and its what you can believe will always remain..
Being Born Again is to have a New Spiritual Identity.
"Son of God". "Saint". "Redeemed". "as Jesus IS, so are YOU in this world".
Let Philippians 1:6 be a life verse for you, if you don't have one already.
"God, who began YOUR SALVATION IN YOU, will HIMSELF be Faithful to Complete it"..
See that : "God began= and God will be Faithful to Complete it"?
See that?
That is your eternal hope. That is the REASON you can always KNOW you have Peace with God, at all times..
Its because the same Holy God who has started your Salvation with the Blood of Jesus, will be FAITHFUL to complete it..".
Blessed IS The Blood of the Lamb. = Believe this, and thereby live established within the Peace with God that is always found in the Blood of Jesus and maintained BY the Blood of Jesus.
