Easy!...(and this might hurt).

A). Because most Christians get defensive when someone suggests that the beliefs they've committed their whole lives to might actually be wrong...and this reaction is directly a result of an inner lack of confidence in their beliefs due to not experiencing evidence of victory in their own Christian lives. In a nutshell...victorious Christians don't tend to act in "vile" or "rancid" ways to each other. How could they?...they just have too much joy (of the Spirit) to.

B). Because most Christians don't understand how the way to being loving, patient, kind ISN'T by trying to be a "good" Christian in life, but by surrendering to the very life of Christ to be all those things for you (...which, ties right back into the first point). So...no wonder you see what you see here, 'cause almost no one's allowing Jesus to just be Himself through them...they never knew they could. Try it...you might like it.

This forum has a history, and people come and go, sometimes building misunderstanding over misunderstanding. The pressure goes up and up, until it explodes. I'm not saying that everybody is innocent, but I believe there are structures of sin in this world, and that if we are not aware of what make us sin there will be no hope for us to stop.

In other words, it's not simply an individual issue but also how the group acts and what our expectations are.

I agree, there are structural forces that drive some of this, yet whilst I agree on that point those forces do not excuse our individual actions.

As long as the do not leave the faith that is of JESUS but then, until the great Apostasy of 2 Thess 2 comes to pass, there will probably more defections from JESUS and YHWH His Father

2 Thess 2:3 No any ye should be deluding according to no yet one manner/way, that if-ever no may be coming the apostasy/from-standing/apo-stasia <646> first. And may be being un-covered the Man of the Sin, the Son of the destruction.
