Peace and Safety?

In Daniel 12:1 we are told there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book of life.

Also in Matthew 24:21 we are told by Jesus;" For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, never shall be. And except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

Both of these prophecies paint a very grim picture here on earth in the last days. But what did not make much sense to me with these prophecies of the last days, is what Paul had said in 1 Thessalonians 5:3;

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

At first glance one could say there seems to be a contradiction to these prophecies. But I believe it is important to note that Paul just simply said "they shall say" there is Peace and safety, not that their statement was true.

And the scriptures seem to confirm this false peace in Jeremiah 6:14;"They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace."

This is repeated in Jeremiah 8:11;"... saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace."

And I believe this is the scripture Paul was refering to when he said; "they shall say", Peace and safety.

They are those who prophesy falsely, just as many of our world leaders and politicians, and economists have said in the past that we are in a recovery, and we will come back stronger than ever before. But that is not what the Lord has shown me concerning these the last days.

In Ezekiel 13:16 we saw the same sign in the prophets of Israel who prophesy falsely in the name of the Lord. Ezekiel 13:16;"To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord."

The Lord said in Isaiah 48:22;"There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked."

And again in Isaiah 57:20-21;"But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked."

Many will try to convince you there is a time of peace to come upon this wicked generation, but like the pains upon a woman that is in travail, they shall not escape.

Christ says in the sermon on the mount, rejoice and be happy because great is your reward in the heaven!

The greek name of the Gospel is Evangelie whitch means "The happy tidings",

Let´s do that let´s LIVE the HAPPY TIDINGS, that mankind has been blessed with the comming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that in Him we have been given a new potential whitch wasn´t there before, the potential for salvation.

No one can stop the Apocalypse and neither can you, so
The choice is yours, do you want to live like our Lord asks you to
with love and joy and happiness???

I have faith, hope, and love, just as I have no fear for the things which are soon to come upon this wicked world.

But like God, I find no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked. Just as David did not rejoice over the death of his evil son Absalom who tried to kill him.

The point of my post is to call people to the reality of the situation, which is far from peace and safety as many would have you believe.

Those who are sealed by Gods Spirit have absolutely nothing to fear, but those who are not should fear, and come to repentance before it is too late.

In Ecclesiastes 1:18 it is written; "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases in knowledge increases also in sorrow."

If I have sorrow, it is sorrow for those who have not recieved Christ.

In eastern orthodoxy we refer to the family as the small church, whitch is parenthood and childhood in Christ.

Love your neighbour, as you love yourself.

In eastern orthodoxy we speak of three main categories of sin: Sin against God, sin against your neighbour and last but certainly not least sins against oneself.

We should not allow ourselves to be destroyed for others, who maybe really don´t care about us.

Man has a Godgiven free will, you can NOT save anyone, but some might choose salvation because of you. Find out what they really want, then you can choose to aid them in this. You cannot help anyone you can only support them in that whitch they truly want themselves.

"it is the joyfull sorrow..."

God is with us all of the time, someone once said to me we shouldn´t speak of God in third person because He is with us right now. Meth imon o Theos, Snami Bog.

InSpiritInTruth, there is scripture that also says when Christ returns it will be like the days of Noah, people eating, drinking and marrying, as if everything is fine, then we have the book of Revelation, people will still deny Christ, after all His wrath, and then living through the 1000yr reign.

Some will never see Jesus, they worship themselves, their hearts are hardened

What belief today advances and glorifies itself as the way of man's peace?
...the belief and desire for freedom of rights, universal and common values.

People are living with this believe in every part of their lives.
If you look around you, you will see them living their lives according to their desires for their self-interests...whether it be money, power, popularity, sex, religion, etc.

They believe that it is the way of peace...look at the events in the middle-east...nations overthrowing their rulers because of their desire for freedom of rights and the "peace" that will come with it.

President Obama has clearly outlined the vision of this way of life as being good, right, equal, and the path to economic equality, religious equality, and world peace.
(refer to his 2009 UN speech).

However, when all of mankind will embrace this way, suddenly and unexpectedly Christ will return to claim rulership.
....do you think man will give up his belief in freedom of rights, freedom of religion, etc?
