Paul's presents Genesis as literal and not parable.

It's both. Especially the way you try to intertwine it with scripture. Your belief in the religion of evolutionism conflicts with scripture so you must change scripture to fit with your religion of evolutionism.

First, evolution is not a religion.

Second, I've never mentioned evolution in this thread except to respond to your claims.

Third, I'm not changing scripture at all. I'm simply reading a portion of it as allegory. Others in this thread apparently read the plain words of our Lord--this is my body--as parable. How is that any different?

Some here seem to be implying that if you believe in a literal historical Genesis..you're not saved.

I have said no such thing. In fact I have stated multiple times that you and others are entitled to you interpretation. You are the one who seems to be saying that you interpretation is the only possible interpretation.

I'm saying it's the correct interpretation. The historical and literal interpretation is how Genesis is presented in the bible. I've demonstrated that to you numerous times.

Yes, and i have demonstrated that it is allegory.

The difference between our positions is that I keep telling you that you are entitled to your interpretation. You are the one who keeps insisting that your interpretation is the only possible interpretation.

That's easy, the Blood of the Lamb.

But there is nothing that says that one must believe in a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation stories to be saved, although some here seem to be implying that.

Many people do NOT understand Genesis chapter one. It is the entire History, written thousands of years ago, of the 6 Creative Days which continue today. This means that the end of the present 6th Day is FUTURE to 2017.

IOW, The literal interpretation of Genesis chapter one tells us of God's entire creation from beginning to WHEN the host of heaven (Christians) are ALL safely in Heaven. This includes the LAST sinner to be created Spiritually in Christ for Heaven would not be Heaven without them. Then, this future event happens:

Gen 2:1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, (Hebrew-brought to perfection) and ALL the host of them.

Are ALL Christians a part of the "host of Heaven" today, or are there still some Adams/mankinds to be saved? Just ask any Gospel preacher? He will tell you the Day of Salvation continues so long as today continues. This means that we live at Genesis 1:27 because God is STILL creating at the end of the present 6th Day/Age. Amen?

I do not agree, but you are entitled to your interpretation of scripture my friend.

I will accept that cop-out as the only response left to you in your arsenal.
Thanks.
The original question concerned you when you posted "Person "A" offers the understanding that Adam and Eve were shaped from the dust with a method similar to an artist making a sculture.
Person "B" offers the understanding that people came into being through a metamorphosis of similar life forms in a genetic interplay with their environment."

My point is either "A" is right or "B" is right. "A" is what the bible teaches..or as I said above "It's really pretty simple...A is the bible ...B, isn't."

No, A and B are both interpretations of the same story. A is not "the Bible," it is your interpretation of the Bible.

Would you like to try and refute me either scripturally, scientifically or historically? Such an effort would show others what Genesis is actually teaching, instead of what some ancient theologian THOUGHT it said. God Bless you

I've actually gotten tired of repeating what I have already said in this thread. You should be able to find what I have already posted. And, once again, you are entitled to your interpretation of scripture just as I and other are entitled to our interpretations.

Why do some of those who believe in a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation stories seem to want to make such a big deal out of this? It isn't a salvation issue--or at least it shouldn't be--so why does it matter whether it is literal or allegory?

Yes, but YECs have a political agenda to which literal inerrancy is critical. They don't want to be just another variation on Christianity, they need to be the only REAL TRUE Christians.

Is it possible to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ IF you don't believe His Father's account of the Creation? Faith in God, His Holy Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ IS the power of God unto Salvation,

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;

To everyone that believeth. What happens to those who don't believe?

But I do believe the Genesis creation accounts. I believe they are allegories.

Are you saying that one must believe in the Genesis creation accounts as literal history in order to be saved?

The literal account in Genesis AGREES in every way with EVERY discovery of Science and History IF you have the proper interpretation. You seem to be confused?
