I get the impression that people think the Sons world(s) created by the powers the Father gave him are micro managed in every detail. Die in a car wreck, God did it, stumped your toe, God did it, die from cancer, God did it, lived to 100, God did it. Not so, God the Father deals with much larger aspects of his creation than the routine outworking of his evolutionary worlds in time and space. Earth never was supposed to be our permanent home and we grow through our efforts to do Gods will. On the mansion worlds we will still be working to shed "the mark of the beast", the influence of our evolutionary animal inheritance.

What ever happens to me, "God did it," right or wrong , good or bad, good or evil," God did it."
God gets all the Glory, the Praise, the credit, the blame. For, what ever happens to me, it is for my own good. Thank you Lord Jesus.

That all depends upon whether you read the Old Testament through the lens of the New Testament doesn't it? The concept of hell is certainly present in the New Testament, and it wouldn't suddenly have popped into existence in 1 AD, so it must be implicit in the Jewish concept of Hades, even if it wasn't understood that way in OT times.

The people who wrote the Old Testiment didn't have a New Testament lense to write through. But I get your point, there were plenty of extra biblical concepts in existence such as their hardened ideas about the coming Messiah.

You should google the Bible, Jesus spoke of the "many mansions", he went there to prepare a place for us. You remember Jesus right? The religious rocket surgeons thought he was silly as well.

If false teachers had to endure persecution, and martyrdom as well, it makes them a lot more believable and a lot more popular.

Even better if the false teacher thinks he or she is doing the right thing (plus points for sincerity!)

The devil sure knows what it's doing. It doesn't think like a four year old. He had to try to pull off the performance that Christ did.

It is my understanding that the Jews were persecuted more than Christians, Jews rebelled against Rome, Christians did not but many Christians began keeping Sunday so to not be mistaken for a Jew; I am not sure what the official story is; was Paul persecuted because he was a Jew or because he was a Christian. Paul kept the Law and the feasts according to Jewish custom as did the apostles; they could all haven considered Jews by the Romans.

I'm quite aware of where Jesus said He would go to prepare a place for us because in the Father's house there are many rooms; but the idea of "mansion worlds" comes from the Urantia Book, it's the Urantia Book that I accuse of silliness as a product of mid-20th century science and fantasy fiction.
