Paul (Saul) of Tarsus, a Masonic Infiltrator of Christianity?

Another provocative topic, and I couldn't help myself with this one either... I am on the fence with this one.

All I'm going to contribute is this: Paul basically made the argument for "salvation by grace". Yet Jesus himself said on the Mount that you must follow the commandments to enter heaven...

Yes, of course I believe in Jesus, but I take his opinion much higher than Pauls... I have actually come to think that "salvation by grace" is just another one of Catholicisms failures... Like abstaining from marriage by "priests", explained to be a heresy per the Book of Timothy... Also, they changed Sabbath...

Just look up "Jesus is savior catholic heresies" and you'll get the picture.

What do you guys think on Paul and his contradictions with Jesus' teachings?

Thanks for keeping it Civil - God Bless,

Soaren

Just because we are saved by justification by grace alone through faith alone doesn't mean we don't have to follow the commandments. If we don't follow them, it can lead to apostasy, the loss of faith. Remaining in the faith involves being faithful to the law of God. There's no contradiction between Jesus' and Paul's teachings unless you reduce Paul to antinomian determinism and Jesus to legalistic moralism, both of which do no service to either.

Instead, I recommend reading contemporary, consensus-driving scholarship on Jesus and Paul, specifically as it relates to the Third Quest for the Historical Jesus and the New Perspective on Paul. N.T. Wright, James Dunn, E.P. Sanders, John P. Meier, James Charlesworth, Bruce Chilton, Jacob Neusner, Gerd Theissen, Bruce and Richard Longenecker, Richard Bauckham, Richard Hays, Richard Horsley, Norman Perrin, Brant Pitre, Terence Donaldson, Geza Vermes, Markus Bockmuehl, Ben Witherington- these writings aren't all technically Third Quest or New Perspective, but they are all experts and leading voices in the field of New Testament studies who have significantly closed the gap between Paul and Jesus that opened up after two centuries of bad scholarship and false assumptions.

And a Masonic infiltrator? That's just laughable.
