Pastoral problem

I would like prayer for myself and my church. It disturbs me that our pastor doesn't work very hard, and sometimes I wonder what we're paying him for. A few others feel the same, and have been disappointed when he doesn't follow through on what needs to be done. It seems like his boundaries are more important to him than caring for his flock. He seems to think he's president of a Fortune 500 company and expects all the members to do all the work, while he preaches some vague notions about community.

I don't know what to do about this. I pray for God's intervention and help for our church.

Lord please help this pastor to know he is pastoring but for all the wrong reasons and help him to pastor for all the right reasons as well as submit to you and to do your will and plan for him for your sake and everybody else in the church. Amen!!

Heavenly Father, Thank you for always hearing our prayers. You are a loving Father who is capable of solving all our problems and, many times, helping us help ourselves, teaching us responsibility for our own actions and service to others as we grow in you.

Jenster has asked us to help her church and her pastor through prayer. She feels her pastor is not focused on the right things and that the congregation is suffering for it. You are wise and know the hearts of all and can see every need to rectify this situation. I ask that you give the elders of the church, the church counsel and the congregation wisdom and compassion concerning this. If the pastor has missed you somewhere bring him back to a place of humility before you in prayer and supplication. Remind him of the joy he felt as a young child in your house when you first showed him salvation, mercy and grace. Renew his spirit and fill him again with your purpose for his life and for your children whom you have entrusted to his care. And give Jenster hope and peace in her spirit that this is your work, your people and you will take care of this according to your will. In Jesus' name Amen
