In Christianity, especially traditional Christianity, there's the concept of being piteous and humble. I believe that this is a great way to go with things, but I've noticed a lot of people who seem a little too humble to the point of being what society today calls 'passive-aggressive'; Using the appearance of passivity to gain the pity of others and take advantage of things.

I don't know and sorry for the vagueness, so I'm just wondering what you think.

You'll have to explain how someone acting humble can elicit pity. I've seen Christians with the martyr complex work to get pity with their "Oh, I'm soooo busy serving the church and nooooooo one ever helps me and noooooo one is good enough to replace me, so I'm doomed to do this until I dieeeeeeee" routine. But, that only works on other Christians (usually other "martyrs"). Secular friends and family members just tell them to stop doing it if its so bad.

Yes. This is because people choose to look like something rather than internally changing themselves to BE something. For sociopaths especially this can be very easy to recognize in people and can be an unavoidable annoyance in social situations. This habit can expand to the extent that the individual is actually immune or unaware of what they are doing and may even convince themselves that they are blameless or without fault. Others may be aware of what they are doing but may feel a sense of security and continue the habit because they know they can.

Passive aggressive behavior is saying something rude or impolite to someone in such a way that the aggressor cannot be adequately accused of the crime. While the victim is likely aware that the aggressor is being subtly insulting or condescending, it cannot be said for certain that they are.

A good example of this would be my suggestion that certain "specific organizations" utilize this tactic by implementing Christian or religious doctrine into their outward appearance while not actually being Christian at all, let alone benevolent.
