Who has seen it and what did you think?

I have yet to see it but am going to rent it.

Also what are some of your other favorite Christian movies?

We bought the DVD. It made me cry, but not where most people I know cry. It is a very powerful movie, but not one for the youngsters. My kids (13 & 15) haven't seen it yet.

All at once it broke my heart, but gave me hope. It made me really understand just how much my God loves me and what He sacrificed for me. Don't rent it, buy it. It is worth every penny. When the kids are old enough (my son and step son), I want them to see it too. It's hard to watch how much my sin cost, but it is very eye-opening.

Oh ditto..it's so strange how it can completely tear you down and make you whole all in one...That Kutless song Passion says it perfectly "Creating a paradox in me"

Movie is SO powerful...definitely something everyone should see once..


Oh and other Christian movies?
hmm..I still am a fan of the Prince of Egypt..mostly because of the music, but hey ..

and everyone should also watch Second Chance...SO great

I wasn`t all that keen on it really, to be entierly honest I think ben-hur has more impact than the passion, just my thoughts though

I loved the movie....and after getting into it I found that I really didn't need the subscripts much. It was like the verse in Acts that says "everyone heard in his own language..."

I agree buy the movie.

I really want to see it....been waiting for it to be returned to the library....it's now overdue from the last person who rented it...

I guess I will have to break down and rent it....

I really like the movie/series Jesus of Nazareth. It was pretty long but very very good and covered His entire life. Anyone else see it?

Yup my mom`s got it on video. The miracle makers quite good...........if you can put up with it being a cartoonish type of thing.

I wish they would have expounded more on why Jesus made the sacrefice. Yes the sacrefice itself is extremely important but knowing why I would say is just (if not) more important.

It breaks me up at the part when Jesus is carrying the cross, and falls and Mary see's him as a little boy falling to his knees...
It reminds me of how hard it must of been for Mary and God.
to see your own child crucified.

I love the movie "Facing the Giants" also

Yes, this was a great movie, seen it several times. It is intense and sometimes hard to watch some of the parts, but you'll be glad you watched it afterwards.

great film realy make s you feel how much the lord has done for us.
Other great gospel films are

1. Jesus of nazareth
2. the king of kings
3. the greatest story ever told

And try THE ROBE although fictional this is a very moving film about the power of christ

The Passion of the Christ is a must see movie. I cannot recommend it enough.

Footprints1973 mentioned Jesus of Nazareth. I own it also on DVD and is another excellent portrayal of Jesus. I grew up watching it every Easter.

I tried watching the passion once and couldn't do it. Then again I was down with a bad flu at the time; trying to read the captions with a headache, fever, and chills probably didn't help.

Sounds like I got something to do this weeked.
