  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is there a way to partition my hard drive without completely reformatting?

Love, Heather
Well, you can either get something like Partition Magic and try that or you can use something like Norton Ghost to take an image of your hard drive and burn it onto cd's, then knockout your partition table and then create a new partition table and partitions and then use Ghost to restore the backup on cd's onto the first partitition.......but without going to extremes like this you can't partition without reformating.......Personally I've never used Partition Magic, I have no idea how much it costs, but it resets partitions so that you suposively don't have to repartition, but I don't knwo if it currently works on ME/XP.......Ghost will work on any system with a cd-r drive and a floppy drive.....and it only costs $15 for Ghost online including shipping....

doofus is right. Partition Magic works great, although any program is not 100% guaranteed and backing up critical files is always advised.
Being this as the case, I would just skip to something like Norton Ghost to backup the whole hard drive, then redo the partitions and load the Ghost backup onto the first partition.......
