It should be noted that the European concept of a civil union is entirely different than the American concept. It isn't a concept dealing with homosexuality, but property, taxes and the like. For example two heterosexual friends can and often do file for a "civil union".

This whole thread is out of context. How quick we are to criticize before we have all the facts, eh?
