Kate you're weight says NOTHING about how sick you are.

I am certainly not 15% below my normal weight for my height or whatever they say you should be...but I am still anorexic.

Oh, I wish I could fix it for you.

I know I should be trying to get better. But I don't think I am anorexic anymore. Well, I do, but I don't...it's confusing. My weight says I'm not anorexic.

I don't know. I'm just starting to panic more and more recently. Instead of driving to the train station today, I am going to jog there. It'll take me about an hour, in the heat of the day. I don't know.

Thanks for caring, honestly, it helps me even if it's not that obvious.

Your weight is not the only determining factor in the diagnosis of anorexia. There is also your behavior with food, as well as your emotions concerning your weight and your body image.

Please, see a doctor and be totally honest about your eating habits, as well as your exercise habits. You need help and it is available to you. You have to take the first step, or someone will take it for you. I know girls who were committed to the hospital for treatment by their families. They had a feeding tube put in their noses, and were fed through the tube during the night.

Denial of it is a symptom of the disease. You have to get the courage to get help and then do whatever they say. You could die and you are too young for that.

Most of the girls in my treatment group have osteoporosis. The body has to get calcium from somewhere, so it eats the bone marrow and weakens the bones so they are brittle like an old lady's. Starvation also eats at your muscles and that includes your heart. Many anorexics die of heart disease, like Karen Carpenter.

I am being brutally honest about this because it is not something to be taken lightly.
