• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Doubt it, that's got to be speculation on some fringe legal belief that won't amount to anything. She's part of the advertisement for the party.

If by "that's got to be speculation" you mean "I can't be bothered to look up the law" then yeah, it's speculation.

Title III, Section 313 "USE OF CONTRIBUTED AMOUNTS FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES"
(b) PROHIBITED USE-
(2) CONVERSION-
(B) a clothing purchase;
Yeah, um that doesn't sound fringe legal belief to me.

Just wonderin... have you fessed up about your take on that attack hoax yet?

Sorry not on topic and not relevant to this thread. Fess up for what?
The stories linked seem to indicate the officers viewed the wounds and that was on the police report. How are we supposed to know something is false when reputable news sources..the local Pittsburgh media..said information was on the police reporT?

The amount of money spent is outrageous but what's more concerning is that women are scrutinized to a greater degree for their looks compared to men. I was just reminded of this while watching the news. Hillary's pantsuits were often a stupid topic for discussion. With that in mind, it's not unreasonable that wardrobe/makeup for a woman should be a budget item in campaign finance, as pathetic as that is.

Yep...we should take away the vote from those on welfare. Once you have started a nanny state, it's hard to get people away from the government tit. People want the government to solve all of their problems although with its past track history I would he more suspicious.

The imortant thing to learn, as RealDeal pointed out, is to employ your reasoning capabilities, not jump to conclusions, and not be spoon fed. Party leanings shouldn't blind us.

Well there is Obama supporter that took a sign from a McCain supporter and hit her in the face with it. So as far as violent acts by McCain supported..I have found none.

LOL real deal is hardly an expert in reasoning. HE denied a plane hit into the Pentagon and was a Truther. I trusted our local media..KDKA has a good reputation..was the first radio station in the Nation. I was just reporting what was on the news. Not my fault there are some insane people on both sides.

Whether or not RealDeal employs reason in all situations isn't the point. I'm saying that it's something to keep in mind. Since news stories often report lies, we cannot rely on one source for the truth. When creating such a thread I always think it's a good idea to give yourself an out, which would take the form of being open to opposing views. This you didn't do. Any way, I think this whole thing will cause several of you to calm down with the accusations (I hope).

Interesting that Mr Wright here uses a quote from a man who now supports Obama. As far as Palin's wardrobe, when there is no substance, you have to do something so they decided to pretty her up. I'm not surprised. Don't forget, she's a former pagent runner - she likes to dress up and play grown-up!
