Recognizing that most everyone tries to put their best foot forward when trying to impress others, isn't there an ethical limit that precludes deliberate deception? While women's girdles are a thing of the past---so I'm told---padded bras and breast implants are very much in vogue, and only because they act to allure men. Of course when things proceed to the level of an intimate relationship these deceits are soon undone and the deception is blown, leaving the guy thinking, "what the . . . . . . . . !" So how can a woman justifying these deceptions? Or don't they bother?

I think that padded bras are very vain and really for the people who feel like they do not have as much confidence... But in reality it is a fake confidence boost because at the end, even if they reach a point of success, they can only then share their open lie with others.

I'd hope that one's attraction wasn't based primarily on someone's breast size or package size.

A voluptuous or callipygian figure is a nice bonus and gives me something fun to do, but I wouldn't complain about false advertising -- I'd give her breasts the attention they deserve and hopefully allay her insecurities about their size. I'm far more creeped out by fake personality (e.g. Someone pretends to like what I like simply because I like it).

On a related, though more sexual topic: I'm saddened that some women feel the need to fake [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse].

How is it any different from using makeup, or shaving, or anything else like that?
I don't know about you, but with not much more than a glance I can tell if a woman is wearing makeup or a guy has shaved. Can't say the same for padded bras or breast enhancements.

Are you guys for real.... lol... what about men taking viagra. Why don't you mention how men use toupee's ect. ect and a women finds out he is a baldy...Hair replacement is big business.

Some women need these type of items after having babies, or surgery.

There are as many vain guys out there as girls...

And by the way the newest thing for holding in the extra weight is spanx...
and guess what men wear these items as well!

I don't really care either way.

I'm more of a "rear-end" kind of guy.

There is such a thing as "padded" pants. Ugh.

Padded bras are false advertising (not to mention ridonkulously uncomfortable).

^_^

Gee . . . . I would think a woman would count it as a plus that a guy made the extra effort to make sure he could satisfy them both.

Don't know what you're trying to imply by "etc. etc.," but you are correct about the toupee.

"Need"??? Outside of adjusting for symmetry after surgery, just what need is it that doesn't involve the goal of looking more appealing?

Always an excuse....If what you are saying that a women should be just as God made her, well isn't it nature that a man slows down a bit.

Hair color
extentions

Well, maybe you haven't seen what feeding a few children by the breast can do to a body. :p

Yes and No.
Its like in nature people try to advertise. Men and women do the same.
Do you use cologne or perfume? Do you use mouth wash? Eyeliner, hari dye. waxing, hairplugs, wigs, socks in pants, etc...

For most people we need an initial interest or spark to be created and then you go into the personal aspects.

So I see nothing wrong with trying to get that initial interaction.

I do believe you missed the point. Cologne, perfume, mouthwash, eyeliner etc. are all readily apparent. Padded bras and breasts implants are not. They require the relationship to go a step or two beyond just gazing at each other over first date cocktails.

Very well said, although some people do go to the extreme and look awful. Like the person with too much botox, or that cat women lady... Maybe that is more of an addiction to plastic surgery. When men/women plaster pictures of a big chest, perfect hair, extreme bod there will be those who will do anything to achieve it. Sad to say some starve themself to death.

Not picking on you Washington, good thread.

Goodnight
