Take me to the promised land. Where I and I is free,
Jah set my mind my mind at ease. . .
Set your eyes to Zion
Jah Jah people ride on
That is from POD and not Christian, that is straight up Rasta!
And how about their own words?
"You were recently criticized by Christian radio talk-show host Dr. Dobson for forsaking your religious beliefs by touring with Ozzfest and Korn".
WUV: We respect the man, but he never had a conversation with us. Just because P.O.D. are a spiritual band doesnt mean we adhere to any one religion, and all kinds of people want to use us as a symbol for their thing. Theres a thousand different definitions of what a Christian is, but we dont feel like there are any lines."
(Rolling Stone, Dec. 14-21, 2000, p. 102)
G1- P.O.D. is known for its religious beliefs, and Ozzfest can easily be viewed as a debauchery you know, sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. Is there a conflict of interest?
MC- Yeah, but we're not necessarily a Christian band. We are, to an extent, a rock band that loves God, and we're not ashamed of that."
(Interview with Guitar One)
Q: Are you or are you not a Christian band?
A: Were not, but we do believe in Jesus. We dont mention Jesus in our songs, though. . ."

"To tell the truth, though, I dont even like the term Christian. . . "
Marcos, POD
(Guitar Legends, No. 37, p.28)
"I don't even like saying I'm a Christian sometimes because it leaves such a bad taste in people's mouths."
Sonny, P.O.D.
(Spin Mag, Ocotober 2001, p. 88)
I am not saying their music isn't great, if that's your thing. I am not one of those people who think that we should only listen to Christian music 24/7, not by any stretch. But POD sure aren't a Christian band. They may be Christians and in a band together, but that does not a Christian band make. Lets just call a duck, a duck and be done with it. I would be worried if I were them though:
Revelation 3:16
So, because you are lukewarmneither hot nor coldI am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Lets see how that fits with their saying they don't like even the term Christian. I am sorry if that sounded like it has a tone. I actually liked them somewhat until I found that they are ashamed of od being associated with Christ by being called Christians.
