• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I worry and doubt a lot. Sometimes I wonder how sincere my anxiety is or if it's something I'm just using to try and control other people into doing what I want them to do or control God into working on my time line.
I feel like this is my biggest fault.
I have difficulties with trust when it comes to God, other people and myself. I want to get better but I inevitably go back to my suspicion and anxiety.

I think many of us suffer with this; some just deny it more than others. And welcome to CF!

^Cool! Another rare INFJ bird! I've only met one other in my life and heard of one other besides that! Except for an INFJ mailing list I used to belong to, which, ironically, was mostly populated by ENFPs lol.

Yeah everything INFJ fits me to a T. I would have rather been an INFP but the overthinking INFJ just fits. My boyfriend is ENTP. One off...but yeah he's like the shameless to my anxiety ridden neurotic self lol

I argue with people on the internet

That's much better than posters who imagine what other posters
think, them flame them for that. At least you are considering others.

I am obsessed with turning the central heating down, even though we can well afford it.

There is a learning thermostat that sees your patterns and turns it down for you.

Are you an ESFP? Hehehe.^_^

My employers have made me take that test over the years. And over the years my responses have drifted, from the INTJ of 1985 to the INFJ of circa 2008, to the INFP of today.

I have been told by an expert on the matter - somebody who makes his living from analysis of that test - that our "type" does not change.

I don't have the heart to tell him he's wrong.

I meant Jacknife; I should have quoted, sorry.

That expert was not exactly correct. The MBTI and Keirsey are measures of preferences not personality types, although they are very closely related. Of course people's preferences can change over the years. I used to fluctuate between INTJ and INFJ, too. I pretty much always scored 50/50 on T and F. (Although now I know the tests so well I could get whatever type I wanted). Also, our preferences can change in different roles, such as at work or home.

I can relate. I used to be the same way, but I'm not any more. What's your favourite wine and food, just out of curiosity? And I'm guessing you're not American if you have cultural snobbery lol?

I grow more of a snob with each passing decade. Because life is getting shorter, I can't waste too much of it on mild cheeses :p

Seriously though, my favourite wine is a New Zealand Pinot Noir (a very darned expensive one!), and favourite cheeses are 4+ year old cheddars and French triple Brie.

And no, not American :)
