I posted this in trying to conceive section and got no responses. And I know most of you have been pregnant at one point or another so I decided to post it here.

Do any of you experience ovulation cramping? If so for about how long?

I usually do and I read the other day that it can last as long as 1 minute to 48 hours. I've been having the ovulation cramping for about 4 days now. It did go away a couple days ago but came back, only on left side, and it's more of an ache right now than a cramp. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Yeah, I read about the 1 minute to 48 hours once too and I was like, "Yeah, right!" I get them anywhere from a few hours to several days. I have discussed it with my doctor in the past and he didn't seem to think it was a problem; told me to take some advil if it got too bad and that was it.

Mine's pretty much always on the right side. It's very rare that I feel it on the left side.

That happened to me during the first trimester of my first pregnancy and I was really scared! I went to the ER and they did a vaginal ultrasound. The outcome was that I had ovarian cysts that were really painful. They ended up prescribing codeine for pain. There was not much they could do for it while I was pregnant except pain management.

If it persists, you may want to find out if they could check out your ovaries for cysts, or something else.

It did not negatively impact my pregnancy, except for the additional pain that flared up from time to time (it was not ongoing).
