  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi,

I live overseas and work at a Christian international school. This is my fifth year and I live with my best friend who has been here for six. She has decided to return to the States and I am currently having what I call "emotional issues". I have decided to stay where I am for one more year, but I am having doubts. My friend is closer than a sister and I just don't know how I can stay here alone. I need to find an apartment for next year and a roommate. All the options that I've tried have not worked out (I asked the other single ladies to room with me but they are staying with families. I also asked a family if I could stay with them but they didn't seem interested). I just feel that nobody wants me. This next year is going to be difficult for me and I would love if I could live with someone I know.

On top of that, I am slightly frustrated with my friend whom I live with and confused about a relationship with someone else. AGHH!

Would appreciate the prayers...

Thank you

Hi there. Sounds like you have a full plate right now. Uncertainty is hard to deal with, but not if you put it in God's hands. Praying is the best thing you can do. I will pray with you for discernment, guidance and peace during your wait! Lord in Jesus name, I pray that you will hear and answer these prayers according to your will for you know and want what is best. Help our sister to hear you so that she can make right choices. Thank you for this and for all you do, Amen!

I'm real sorry to hear about the problems you're having. From what I've heard, your Friend seems really special to you and has a very, very important place in your life. If this is the case, you should go back to the States to be close to her.

God bless you for doing God's work but sometimes, it's worth doing his work on our own doorstep as it were. You've spent five years overseas which is so kind and thoughtful of you. Right now, you're having difficulties with finding a Place. Maybe, this a message from God that it's time to go back to the States?

Maybe it's time to start a new chapter of your life. You can go back home and continue to do the Lord's work alongside your friend.

The Lord's blessing you for your Kind Work. And please hold onto this passage:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you. Plans not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God bless you and keep us updating with what's going on.

Hey everyone, thank you for praying! Prayers were answered in an unexpected way... a new family in my church was looking for someone to stay with them and help with their eight kids (!!) and a mutual friend recommended me. They are really nice people and I think I will enjoy staying with them. :)
