  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My son is the complete opposite. He loves bugs! He'll take a fly and take it apart... :D

My son does not like dogs, though. He doesn't panic, but he does back way up until he thinks the dog is "safe" for him.

Does it help to step on the spider? What about having him use a fly swatter?

My daughter was afraid of dogs when we first adopted her so our Papillion Jake had to stay with my dad for a while. We took her to the pet store where she could see the dogs from outsid we did this several time then we took her into the pet store they were in cages. Then we brought Jake home at night and kept him in a crate at night. then we put up a baby gate between them it took almost a month before she would play with him, now they are best friends.
My suggestion for you would be
1. put some bugs in a glass container outside so that he could see them from a window for a few days while you were outside looking at the bugs he could watch you.
2. after a few days bring the bugs and container inside show him the bugs can't get out.
3. If he takes to this let him feed the bugs.

If you take it really slow you may have some success it's a great learning opportunity
