Outside / inside conflict

It is a difficult world when you are very attracted to what is inside someone and have difficulty with the outside. There are days when truly I wish I was a much larger physical person - because so many others are, particularly women. Simply put, I am not - Although well proportioned, I am naturally slim and have to work to gain any weight. This makes it very difficult when those that I may find interesting are from half again to twice my size. I have a difficult time considering a married life with someone whom I find physically imposing and overwhelming on that axis.

So, for those of you who are bigger men, praise the Lord for it! Some of us don't have that option, and most women I see go by are of your variety!

I have found that although I am chubby myself, thinner guys who are in fairly good shape are usually attracted to me. Sometimes I do wonder if they have a problem with me having more fat on my body than they do, even though women naturally tend to carry more of it. I think the Lord will bring someone for you who is just the right size, whether she is chubby or thin as a rail I can see what you are saying though! Keep looking up. If I've learned anything from the crazy week I've had, that is certainly it.

Well, all I can say is that the inner attraction is real, while the physical incompatibilities are a bit threatening. I understand the general differences, but it seems often the women end up being those that could literally overpower me. There have of course been those who were slimmer, but they seem to be a minority in the population.

You never know Keil who will turn your interest and who God has planned for you. I've seen very thin, with pretty heavy and I've seen thin with thin and heavy with heavy. And you could marry thin and after several children have a heavy wife. Never know. So yeah, looks may play a part, but fall in love with who she is in Christ and who she is inside. I know that when "thee one" is there, the eyes of love shadows some 'imperfections'.... and least those the world may find imposing.

Hey Kneil truly I wouldnt worry, everyone has different perceptions of what is "nice in their eyes" some are attracted to slim men so to large some woman like big chaps others lean. Truly God is in control and He will sort it out..) You take care brov..John

Being big isn't all it's cracked up to be...

Height wise, I am 6'5... and a few weeks ago I cracked my head off of a cement support beam in an underground parking lot because I didn't realize the clearance was only 6'3. In fact, I hit my head off of a lot of things... and plus, I i don't exactly have the balance of a ballerina either...


Weight wise... right now I am 190 which is a good weight for me... but ALL my life i have struggled with my weight... I have weighed as much as 300 lbs... and so I really had to change my lifestyle in order to maintain a healthy body weight...

140 is very close to the ideal weight range of a 5'2" woman (109 - 136 pounds according to an online calculator). 4 pounds over hardly makes you a large woman.
