I voted: Trump is convicted. He flees the country with more than a little faith that Sen. Romney's peers find their souls..,,

Trump could find solace in any number of countries whose leaders he is so fond of praising: N. Korea, Russia, The Philippines, etc

Maybe if he fled to Egypt for a temporary time while setting up his worldwide "news" entertainment network, and ticked off a few more boxes, he could convince even a few more people that he really is the chosen Messiah without all the limitations of the U.S. constitution and other such annoyances. Wouldn't that be something!

So feel free to keep defending this immoral, repulsive excuse for a president, and later don’t be surprised when no-one cares a jot for your pretense at morality. When you support criminals and liars you give up any right to be treated as a moral person yourself.
I feel the same about people who support the killing of babies.

But then I'm a Christian.

Fine with me, you can believe whatever you choose. If you think that justifies you defending a criminal president, then good for you.

What exactly is the crime he has committed?

Asked and answered, repeatedly.

Trump himself confirmed that he asked the Ukraine to investigate Biden . Then he asked China to do it.

Numerous individuals confirmed the quid pro quo for military aid.

Pull your head out of the sand. The air is fine.

Trump committed a crime and betrayed America to get back at his enemies. The Christian outcome is justice not turning a blind eye

I suggest from now on we treat every US President after Trump the same way he was treated in these last two years, regardless if they are Republican or Democrat. May their whole lives be examined, and may every word that fell from their lips until now be scrutinized at the highest level. May we find as much evidence, if possible, discredit, impeach and contradict them. How about it?

When it's determined that there was no law broken - can we all expect a full apology?

Or will you be like tulc and just go on to the next pile of junk?

I have read the Constitution.

Impeachment is a political process for sure. The Constitution lays out exactly what they can impeach for in that political process.

We are not talking about a criminal indictment either in impeachment itself or in the findings of the Senate. Criminal indictments would come later if there was a crime committed (which there wasn't),

You are correct in that the House can impeach the President for anything that a majority of them agree on. They can vote against what the Constitution says they can impeach for.

When it is determined that there was not a crime of any kind - they will loose the battle in the Senate, look like the fools they are, and likely loose the battle at the ballot box for going against what the Constitution clearly allowed them to impeach for and just acting on pure political grounds.

Capiche?
Sure. You were wrong.

Weird request coming from the party of all-Clinton-investigation-all-the-time.

Maybe we should just let president who admitted to crimes on national television off the hook, just for you!

What Democrats and for what crimes?
I dont know who. But given how predictable Democrats and the left are, I predict that Trump will not leave office, Democrats will lose their jobs or do jail time, and Trump will very likely win a second term. Again, mark my words.

I predict that this who Ukraine thing will be yet another liberal disappointment on par with the 2016 election and the Mueller report "nothing burger". How many more times will liberals be disappointed by delusional false hopes propagated by the progressive media/politicians before they realize they are the ones being manipulated and duped?

Did you seriously just conflate your religion with your politics?

Of course he did. That is sadly what it is all about with some conservative Chtistians, it seems.

Shoot. Did you ever hear of that movie "The Trump Prophecy"?

Forget it, man. To some it never happened. Or if it did undeniably happen then Trump "didn't mean it" or "lol just a joke" or something.

If Trump was right about one thing (or by now I have come to believe that he is), he could in fact have people still support him after he pulls a gun out and shoots someone in broad daylight. After it'd be caught on tape and everything, you'd still see a few diehard supporters plug their hands over their ears and protest that it never happened like a mantra, like the "no,no,no,NO,NO,NO,NO!" donkey in that one clip from Family Guy.

He gets convicted, appeals to the Supremes, they confirm the conviction because they’re sick of his crap. Trump resigns and declares victory and buys RT with Saudi loans.

Subtract one step here -- the impeachment is presided over by Chief Justice Roberts.

When you start at the top, there's nobody left to appeal to...

Correct. SCOTUS has no jurisdiction over impeachment. Even the CJ's role as presiding judge in the Senate trial is largely procedural. He can't dismiss the charge. If the Senate votes to uphold the Articles of Impeachment, the President is immediately removed from office, and can never again hold any office in the federal government. And no appeal is possible.

Sort of. Disqualification from holding office is not automatic. It needs to be positively imposed by the Senate. There is currently a Congressman who was once a federal judge before being impeached and removed from office.
