Our testimony

I was talking to a jewish friend of mine last night. They have a SDA radio program on 570am WMCA New York. (They are jewish who became Adventists after reading the Great Controversy).

Many of the listeners/callers joined their SDA churches because of their radio program. And one of them joins my sanctuary study group.

Anyway, they told me about one of their callers from Brooklyn who was contemplating suicide. Her husband was at one point a male witch. And she listened to Harold Kamping on Family Radio. That led to her almost committing suicide because she thought she was forever lost, predestined to eternal condemnation. Then she began listening to the SDA program on WMCA. She heard about the state of the dead and the Three Angel’s Messages. Praise the Lord. She and her husband have decided to give their lives to Jesus. They have been studying with a local SDA bible worker. And I think they are scheduled to be baptized soon(if I remember the story correctly).

In the recently times, I personally witnessed many that came to the SDA church because they are attracted by our distinctive doctrines on Sabbath, prophecy, Investigative Judgment and the sanctuary message. Many of them came because of Doug Bachelor’s programs, Discover bible study flyers and faithful lay workers…

There are those will discredit our doctrines vehemently. But they can never dispute these powerful testimonies.

The Spirit of Prophecy tells us the Adventist church in the end will have the appearance of falling but will never actually fall. And many outsiders will come in to uphold the flag once was held by those inside the church.

So I’m not a bit worried about the Adventist movement. As long as the Love of God is still manifested in His remnant people, the flame will never die out.

Hope these are some words of encouragement to those who believe in the traditional Adventism.

Glad to here the good report DL.

But what about the millions who after coming into the church through the the same means, decided to leave because of another gospel being preached. I think over the last 5 years about 1.5 million have left the church. And they have good testimonies as to why they left.

I can't really consider myself a traditional Adventist anymore, but I would never try to discredit anyone's testimony. I have no doubt that the Adventist movement brings many people to Christ. Praise God for those whose lives are changed as a result!

Can you give me your source for that figure of 1.5 million? Not that it really matters. The Bible makes it clear that in the end there wouldn't be that many who would be ready for His 2nd coming.

God Bless

Thank you, Sophia for your post. Sure some came to the church and some left while many claim to have real truth. The only way to tell is to check the fruits.

Are they having victory over sin and becoming more like Christ every day? We each know our own answer.
