  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Princess Dudlie sounds so cute Jojo. :)

I had a pet snail named Penelope and it recently went to be with the Almighty. I think I told y'all about Penelope. She was a princess too, Jojo. Folks called her Her Grace Lady Penelope and Her Majesty and all because I pampered her so much. Penelope went home to be with the Lord over the Christmas holidays. I miss her so.

Hey bcauser.
I'm fine thanks. All I really had was some aches from getting old, that's all.
I'm sorry if it sounded more serious.

LOL Jim! That's too much. :D

I have a beautiful eight-year-old Lab, Diesel. She is very sweet but very co-dependent--probably needs therapy. :)
Also have seven cats--all special.
Zorro, a Siamese; Gandolf, another Siamese, Jello, a manx, Tripp, a Hemingway cat, Greystone, gray calico, Humphrey, a gray barn cat, and Paddy, who looks like he's wearing a tuxedo. They are all my babies and a constant source of amusement and joy.

Well, my two boys Oscar and TomTom have been a source of comfort these past few weeks. First having been at home so much, then injuring my shoulder now - since Christmas day - having a really nasty cold, they've always been there (**look around** except now!!) keeping me company and occasionally coming up for a snuggle. Great stuff!

We have 2 dogs;a shepard named Pearl;(really is a chicken);a lab-spaniel x;I call it a Saskatoon Retriever;was got at a city in Saskatchewan named Saskatoon. This dog has unproportionally long legs;has a "bossy"disposition and loves his sister "pearl".I think this Saskatoon retriever is best suited for this part of the country because of the long legs;"good in snow-drifts.We love our dogs and do not put a price on their health or care. surching

Hi, all!

Since you're talking pets, I'd like to tell you a bit about Toe. That was his name when we brought him home from the shelter 11 years ago (11 years...where does the time go!!). We think he got the name from the size of his feet, or possibly because half of two toes side-by-side are cream colored, while the rest of him is tiger-striped, or maybe both. Anyway, my DH insisted we keep the "unusual" name. I call him "Toeser", "Kitty Boy" or "Sweet [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] Boy", and my DH "Little [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] Cat", or more likely, "Krummy Kat" (his designation for any animal we've been blessed with is "Krummy_________").

Other than sleeping and eating, Toe loves perching on a small table in the dining room looking out the front window monitoring all the goings on, or racing from window to window in the basement watching only he knows what! He's also a very generous cat: Each month he sponsors a shelter cat on our local paper's monthly Adopt-A Pet page. He says it's "only fair to give other cats the same opportunity" to find a 'forever home' just like he did! I am so proud of him!!

Whatever the animal or its story, it's such a blessing to be able to share our lives with them! And, like surching says, we can't put a price on their health or care. After all, the unconditional love and joy they bring are beyond price!

We love cats! Actually we have always had one or more kitties in our family since we were married 45 years ago. The first one was called "Blitzkrig" because he had a white streak down his black forehead which looked like lightning. After Blitkrieg there was "Blitzie" and "Popi" and "Spot" and "Rookie" and "Kipper", "Billy Bob" and "Gusty" and finally "Trey".

We lost, Trey, our good calico kitty girl in September after 17 faithful years. And now we still have two, a male and female, who accompany us on our travels. Right now we are all in the SW. The kitties like both their homes and adjust immediately. They have taught us how to be astute birdwatchers. Fortunately they are indoor cats so no bird hunting. Occasionally we need to rescue a little gecko who gets into the enclosed front porch where they spend many a sunny afternoon waiting and watching, eating and sleeping, and playing with each other.
