  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our own forum!!!!! Let us get to know each other

I'm a Youth Intern with the Salvation Army, which means I have to do youth leader stuff at my church and study Theology at Bible college.... which I'm mostly NOT enjoying because I'm not learning anything about Youth stuff... pretty important if I want to be a Youth worker.
Only a year to go and I've basically done all of the compulsory subjects at once (probably why I'm not enjoying it at the moment... as well as having exams now!!!).
I teach Piano to young kids, am involved in a worship band called "Running Feat" and love getting dirty in missions... give me practical work any day!!!!
Also an aspiring webdesigner with a broken computer (which I'm not using now).... so I have two websites which are horribly out of date... :help:

which I can't show you coz I haven't done 15 posts... :(

Hello !
I'm a student preparing for the great engineer schools' competitive examination (like Centrale and Mines, but i don't prepare Polytechnique :) too hard for me :) ) and it is very very hard ! In short I study maths, physics, computering, french (or philosophy, that is the same) and english.
I go to a church in my town and i have been a supervisor in a children christian camp twice.

Hi,

I just stumbled upon this forum. Didn't even know it existed until today :)

Anyway, I'm a 4th year college student studying E. Asian Languages. Unfortunately I'll be doing another year, but I think it's a blessing to be in school an extra year =)

By the way, I've been a Christian for 2 years, and had I not been a Christian, I would've not even been able to do 5 years of school (my freshman year really screwed me up) =)

In anycase, I'm hoping to be a missionary in the future. Just curious to know: Is anyone else out there looking to be a missionary?

God bless!

-Jason

I think being a witness in France is very important. For the moment I'm planning to live all my life in Paris (in the suburbs), but if God sends me in another country, I'll go with joy :). We have more and more muslims to evangelize here (some little terrorists groups even in my town, linked with drugs and arms dealing... I'm not joking)

young adult ministry, AWESOME.

My name is Dave (if you cannot tell). I am a senior at Tyndale College in Michigan. I work with a college aged ministry at my church. This is such a difficult age to have people interested in the things of God.

Glad to see other younger adults who love Jesus and persue him !

Well according to the rules this is up to mid thirties so I just make it....LOL

I am Dave, and have been a youth worker for 12 years. I love it and believe it is a calling --- or maybe I have never actually grown up. I love working with youth on spiritual and secular issues --- I  like balance!!

Most of my youthwork has been primarily in Uk/Europe but I am trying to spread my tentacles to North America/Canada/Africa/ South America and South East Asia.

My motto is to teach youth and youth leaders that Christianity is holistic and even though there are serious matters of the heart that God also has a wonderful sense of humour.

God is Awesome --- so come get some!!
Dave

p.s. My wife and kids want to section me..LOL

Hi my name is Tony. (as if you couldn't tell from my user name. :D  ) My full time job is in the healthcare industry. Basically what I do is help companies get covered under health insurance. I take them through the whole entire process. I also have a part time job during the summer on the weekends. I race my 2001 Mustang Cobra out at the race track in a street car class, and depending on how well I do, determines on how much winnings I take home. Even if I don't win anything, it's still fun as heck.

Hi,

I am 21 and ight now I am studying Music at Universtiy. I play the trumpet as my 1st instrument but give me an hour with anything and I could note bash, give me a week and I could play piece and give me a year I could play most stuff.

anyway. Last year I was studying Psychology but I dropped out to do music cause it was not right for me. I am now much more 'stable' in the music department. Everyone is so lovley there!

I am the music director for the university Gospel choir and this year I was proud to be the producer for our CD.

so there you go thats kind of me.
