CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ahh now that is where we are very different. I hate theory! I love analysis and also love church court and christian music - yes we can study that at my uni. currently we are the only uni in the country that offers such a mosule so I'm in the right place!

Ah yes forms and analysis. I just love it when you look for the themes and counter subjects, etc at a 4 part fugue. Its really fun
Also analyzing the parts of the symphony(especially by Brahms) that guy is neo classicist/romantic and you really have to think deep to get what he is trying to say. His definetly one of my favorite symphony composers(after Mahler and Beethoven)

Howdy
I'm enlisted in the USMC and am an electrical equipment repair specialist over here in Japan. Basically I fix generators for the most part, but there are many other pieces of equipment that I work on.
I kind of wish that I had gone to college, but I hated school and let myself get talked into joining the Marines. Now I have another 2 and a half years to think about what I want to be before I get out.

today's norm is going to college, get a degree.... etc etc, but if you tried hard, there're always open doors out there even though one doesn't go to college.

Hello. I'm Scott. I'm in the doc program at UF for Marriage and Family Counseling. I work at a church as the middle school minister, and I love my job! I'm dating a wonderful woman of God named Kristina, who is also a student at UF - we just had our one-year anniversary...big news for someone as commitment-phobia as me.
That's about it. I absolutely love music - listening and playing, doing computer stuff, and watching people.

I am new to these forums so I am still getting used to the format!
Anyway....
I am a student of psychology with an emphesis on psychotherapy. I am also training to be a counselor at a drug and alc. dependancy program that we are going to have at my church! I am soo excited!!
In the meantime I work with Children at a daycare.
