  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Jimminy, is it possible to get emotionally attached to fish? I guess I always think of pets as being fluffy and cuddleable... can't really hug a fish :(

From my experience, it is totally possible to get emotionally attached to a fish! I couldn't believe how fond you become of them!

They have personalities, honestly they do! They have little personalities and they get to know you and swim up to you when you come close to the aquarium, I was shocked when I started to notice my fish responding to me. And you can feed them by hand too, they are affectionate. And they used to watch my little puggie, I noticed them swimming back and forth and they were watching him walking around the room and trying to get a better look at him, so cute!

But then they died one by one and I was so sad because I became attached to them, it was heartbreaking to see the last one go and I cried. Because he (or she, I dunno, lol) was sick and I tried everything I could to make it better but it just slowly died and I was so upset and wondered if I should have put it out of its misery but I couldn't because I loved it so much and it had such a zest for life, it was trying to cling to life so I just kept trying everything I could to make it better.....:(

So when the last one went I didn't want to get anymore, it was so hard to keep them, I had them about 3 years so there's somewhat of an affection when you have to take care of something every single day for a few years...sob...
