Ouija Boards

Ouija Boards, what do you think?

  • I am Non-Christian: I think more evil comes from them then anything else.

They also increase your stamina, help you lose weight, and cause that unsightly blemish to melt away!

Like I said before, folks...a GAME company came up with Ouija Boards because Ouija is a GAME and nothing more. Can you USE it for divination? Sure. Just like Pagans can use the Christian developed Tarot cards (no, Pagans don't believe in the Devil, one of the cards...nor Judgement Day), or candle flames, or even randomizers on their CD players (yes, a friend of mine uses this method) for divination. That doesn't make the tool one uses "evil," or anything more than what it is. It is the mind of the USER that matters.

I do take god into consideration, all the time. But you don't know God, you know god.

God = the one (or ones) who created everything
god = the human perception of who or what they think God is.

I know god very well, but no one knows God 100%, for fact. So I do consider god. Now consider the fact that god, budda, the goddess, Zues, what ever the name, whatever the religion. Everyone is refuring to the exact same thing, or being. They are just different names, faces, and stories. Now can we all converse about this without the "my god is better then your god" attitude?

Rev. DSD

P.S. It all reminds me of that wise and sacred bumpersticker that read, "My Karma ran over your Dogma."

I am not mistaken. Ok look at it this way...

Everyone has heard of the herb Rosemary, but not everyone has heard of the herbs: Compass Weed, Elf Leaf, Guardrobe, Incensier, or Libanotis. It's because they are all the same thing. They are all different names for Rosemary. As cultures we have taken one single thing (in this case a plant) and gave it many different names. Everyone who believes in any God is really talking about the same entity. Different cultures just have different names, images, perspectives, and ideas about the same God. And if you are just going to tell me straight up that there is only one God that's fine, but if you are going to say that your image of God, is the only one that is correct and everyone else isn't talking about the same individual, then I think our conversation is over. Because to be that closed minded isn't even just a problem, it is complete and total ignorance to everything.

You say that there is only one god, but you don't actually know that, you believe that, but you have no proof, so it is only an opinion. You can say "One God and one way to Him." and make such declarations till the cows come home, but this will not make it a fact. Without showing some credible evidence, all such statements are nothing but hot air, and they do your case no good whatsoever.

I am a saved christian, and have been for years. I have used the ouija board in the past before I was saved and at that point I belive that "bad spirits" came thru to me on the board.I have used the board since I have been saved, and when I open the doors to the spirit world I always specify that only good spirits may enter the door to the evil side will stay closed, and that I am doing this in Jesus name. So at this point I have not had any bad things happen. I do not belive in asking questions about the future, only God can answer those questions and I do not belive that we learn anything if we know everything. I do have doubts about everything that come thru on the board, but as in life just because they are no longer with us in life and have passed to the spirit world doesn't mean they instantly know everything. Only God know's all. Spirits I belive can just give us guidance and information about what they see in our world, to try to help us understand certain things.

I was wondering, what is the general belief around here about Ouija or Spirit Boards. Now this post is not ment for the Christian ready to pull verses out of the bible. I want to hear from Non-Christians, or Christians who may not agree with most others in their religion.

So what do you think, are they the source of all evil or a good divination tool to work with. I know what I think and will be posting it a bit later. But what is the Non-Christian view of it around here?

Sincerely,
Reverend DSD
Blessings,

I'm still trying to decide if I think they actually work. I've never seen one in use and only have a Hollywood idea about them. And Hollywood is well known for scaring the pants off folks with warped images of the mystical and reenforcing wrong sterotypes

I've seen them in bookstores before and they look like a mystical board game. I've read the package of the game and still do not know what to think about them. But never the less at this moment I still see them as a board game. Would I play one? Hmmm don't think so mainly because I DON'T know if they work and I'm careful of how I connect to the spiritual plane.
I personally do not believe in contacting the dead. Still not sure if we CAN  At least nothing has convinced me to think otherwise. And outside of God, Goddess, Jesus and my guardian angels I do not seek to connect with any other entity. So overall I have no interest in the boards outside of my general support of working magick for the betterment of humankind and to honor God but I'll read the responses and see if someone knows for certain if they work. I mean what exactly IS an Ouija board :help:

Blessings,

One day. One hopeful day I think that just might sink into peoples minds. It's the hearts and minds that are evil not external tools.

What is your personal experience with them? Not what others have told you, but what spirits did you encounter? I won't say it's evil, but I won't say it's good. People that speak against it, fear it for the most part. People that would entertain it's notion, are, perhaps, curious. Me, I am to busy to mess with it or even entertain the notion of a purpose, but I like hearing of anyone's experiences with it.

I haven't used a ouiji board myself. I am a Christian, but have quite a few non-christian friends most of them non-religious all together. The few stories I've heard about ouji board have been threw them and they all end with "and that's why I stay away from them now" I don't think that there is anything particularly special about a ouji board other than that seems to be a tool that is most frequently used to try to contact the spirit world. whether or not they are evil (I think they are) they either don't work or when they do scare the **** out of you in sometimes dangerous ways. either way I see no point in using it.
